Yellow is one of the four tritagonists of the Animator vs. Animation series and one of the deuteragonists in its spin-off, Animation vs. Minecraft (alongside Green, Blue and Red).
He's one of the four Fighting Stick Figures and the best friend of Blue. Yellow is the smartest of the stick figures, knowing a lot about technology, redstone and the similar.

Debated Validations[]
- He was pretty vengeful towards "Red" after he first attacked the team, trying to charge into the STORAGE folder to follow him and stopping only because of Blue; and that was before he learned he was possessed by Herobrine and thus not in control of his actions. That said, after reuniting with Herobrine years later (now knowing he was the cause of Red's aggression), he doesn't attack him, implying he has forgiven him. That said, they're never shown properly interacting with each other and it might have been for pragmatic reasons, so it's unknown if he truly got over it.
- If it would be confirmed that he and the other sticks created the fireworks from "Fireworks", then this would mean he has forgiven Herobrine and sees him as a friend.
- He never helped the Second Coming during the events of Animation vs. Pokemon, just like the rest of the FSF. However, he was having the situation under control until Ethan arrived and had the support of his Pokemon, so it's possible Yellow thought the Second Coming doesn't need help. Even then, that was only one incident and outside of that, he's always willing to help.
- He could be classified as a bit of control freak as he angrily ordered his friends to write things down in their notebooks, and took complete control of the Animator's message to rewrite it. However, he was only trying to help.
- Given how he tried to stop Green from following Purple in "The Ultimate Weapon", it's possible he thought the latter was beyond redemption and not worth saving. However, we don't know if he was worried about Green or Purple (as Green was pretty aggressive to him up until "Note Block Universe"), he forgave Purple for his actions anyway, and given how Purple helped in an omnicide, Yellow has the full right to believe there is no hope for him.
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
In General[]
- Despite the numerous arguments with them, Yellow does genuinely care about the other stick figures and doesn't want them hurt.
- While he does have quite a kill count, the huge majority of those are justifiable as self-defence.
Animator vs. Animation[]
- He quickly befriended the Second Coming and went to have fun with him on the computer.
- Off-screen, he forgave the Animator for killing him and the other Fighting Stick Figures.
- He helped his friends defeat the ViraBot virus that invaded the computer, even if they ultimately needed the help of the Chosen One.
- He tried his best to defeat the Dark Lord, although he ultimately failed. He also tried to "save" Blue once he got stabbed by the Dark Lord, although he was already dead by then.
- When the Chosen One took an unwilling Second Coming with him to the Outernet, he and his friends rushed in to help them.
- When he realised the Chosen One and the Second Coming were kidnapped, he tried to find and save them.
Animation vs. Minecraft[]
- When Red apparently turned evil, Yellow and his friends teamed up to find a way to make him good again. When they realised he was haunted by Herobrine, all four tried to save him, and succeeded when the Second Coming destroyed the Minecraft Game Icon.
- He forgave Red for "his" actions and comforted him, knowing that what Herobrine did wasn't his fault.
- While he did almost shoot Red when he started freaking out, it's rather justified as he thought Herobrine possessed him again.
- He build a roller coaster because he wanted his friends to have fun.
- He tried to comfort Red after his pet pig died.
- When the command blocks started glitching out, he tried to stop it.
- He was heartbroken when the Second Coming temporarily and accidentally killed Green, comforting Blue once he broke down crying and helping build a grave for him. Despite this, still didn't blame the Second Coming for this.
- When Blue and Green go missing, he goes to find them with the Second Coming and Red, and saves them from falling to their deaths.
- In the SkyBlock world, he helped his friends survive with an XP farm.
- He tried to help his friends make it back into the Nether and then return home.
- Once they temporarily thought Red died, he comforted Blue.
- He helped his friends save the Dolphin Queen after she was kidnapped by the Elder Guardian.
- He taught his friends how to use redstone efficiently.
- The only reason he attacked his friends in "Texture Pack" is because they attacked him first, even if what he did later wasn't justified.
- He originally tried to use the Lucky Blocks for good by helping his friends, although that backfired, and even then he tried his hardest to defeat the Orbs and indirectly succeeded.
- When Blue went to the Nether to get some nether warts, he followed him to make sure he's safe.
- When "Blue" (a witch in disguise) and Red didn't return from the Nether portal, he went back in to make sure they're okay.
- He helped his friends defeat the Witch.
- He only didn't follow Purple because the Second Coming didn't allow him, felt bad about it, and then willingly went back to him once he saw Purple sad.
- When he realised the Stick Gang are taking too long beating the parkour course, he tried to make sure if they're okay.
- He and Blue saved a village from a Titan Ravager by taming the beast.
- While he did temporarily join King Orange, he didn't know he was a bad person and turned against him the second he realised it.
- He played a major role in saving the village from Illagers by redeeming the Titan Ravager and bringing him to the village to scare away the Villagers.
- He and Blue saved Red and the others from King Orange by jumping into the Nether portal with the Titan Ravager.
- He helped in defeating the Dark Negatives created by King Orange.
- Despite all that Purple did to him, he was sad when he was temporarily killed.
- He played a major part in recreating all of Minecraft after King Orange destroyed it, and in fact was arguably the second most important person after the Second Coming by throwing him straight to the staff and into the Nether portal.
- He forgave both Purple and King Orange for their crimes despite all they did.
- When he realised his roller coaster race caused hostility between his friends, he tried to satisfy them all by making them all winners, even though it failed.
- He tried to defeat the Orb after its return.
- Even if he punished Red by making him sit down inside a chamber made of barrier, this was justified since Red's reckless choice of playing with the Lucky Block Staff caused all the problems in the episode. Not to mention that the punishment is harmless, with nothing implying Red will physically suffer. There is also the fact that he allowed him to mourn the Beeper some time instead of punishing him immediately.
Other[]
- He helped his friends defeat their enemies in League of Legends.
- He and the other FSF slowed Purple down, thus allowing the Second Coming to destroy his Nexus and defeat him.
- He and the other sticks gave Purple a chance to redeem himself.
- He personally redeems Mario 2 by being amazed by what the things from his game can do and inviting him to a game with the other sticks and Marios.
- He created a classic arcade game emulator for his friends to play on.
- He saved his friends numerous times when they were attacked by Q*bert.
- He is ultimately responsible for both Q*bert's defeat and redemption, as he personally beat him after everyone else was gone and convinced him to have a change of heart by giving food to his family.
- He tried to donate a large sum of money to the #TeamSeas movement, even if he was forced to donate a smaller one.
- He genuinely cared about the Ghast he befriended and was heartbroken when Blue killed it. Despite this, he didn't hold a grudge over it and forgave Blue off-screen.
- He genuinely tried to help the Animator write a formal e-mail to his friend, even if he did go overboard with it.
- He defeated the Cave Spider Queen and Wither King when they tried to hunt down his friends.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He can be a jerk sometimes, such as when he blew up Green's builds multiple times, played a mean prank on Red, got really aggressive with the Stick Gang when he told them to write down stuff in their notebooks, blew up the entire texture pack because he didn't want to fix it, cheated while playing parkour, tried to steal the Chef's cookbook because he didn't want to follow his tasks, or ignored Green's troubles to join the Silverfish's concert.
- He has his moments of mischievousness, such as when he tricked his friends into thinking he was sending them to a lava pit, played a prank on Red by having him plummet to the ground with the command blocks, and messed with the entire Minecraft texture pack out of boredom and didn't even fix it. He also might have been the one to fill the Second Coming's head in the "Color Confusion" short, although that was unconfirmed (because they all had the same color, making it very difficult to distinguish between Blue, Red, and Green).
- He has his moments of lethality, such as when he spawned around 13 Zombies just to kill them with lightning during a magic show, attacked Blue with a sword for no reason in "PvP" despite him trying to fix the situation peacefully, made an XP farm to kill mobs and gain their drops, putting everyone in danger when he decided to blow up the entire texture pack, and killing numerous Mobs just for a speedrun in "Yellow's Speedrun".
- He became power hungry in Season 3 with the command block, desiring its power for himself and forgiving King Orange specifically because he gave him the command block back rather than genuinely realising he changed the better, holding a grudge until he got both it and the sceptre back.
- There have been times when he made mistakes and either forgot his lesson or refused to fix them, such as when he changed the entire texture pack and then refused to fix it back to normal, rather preferring to blow it all up. Even Red, who helped him, didn't go this far and panicked when he was about to do it. While the textures are fixed later, we don't know if it's Yellow who did it.
Trivia[]
- With the series still ongoing, it's possible Yellow's status will change and he might become Near Pure Good in the future.
