What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- In spite of his many attempts to control his animalistic tendencies and his vicious rage, he is still a berserker. He has a tendency of fighting with a very savage style and often resorts to isntantly murdering his opponents, something that all his allies and family acknowledge. He has also no sense of strategy at times and instead chooses to just dispose of his enemies through brutal bloodshed, with the msot infamous example being when he killed the Mongrels, which were all his biological children and while he was unaware of this, it still goes to show just how violent he is in combat as the whole thing had been planned by Daken with the knowledge that Logan would fight without hesitation and ask questions later. The other X-Men were quick to acknowledge him as the one that was most willing to "permanently" defeat his foes.
- Calling him a massive jerk is quite the understatement, as he often acts disrespectful to all those around him, even his friends. He also often opposes other heroes such as Hulk, Spider-Man, Deadpool, Cyclops, and Iron Man and he was also shown to initially have very antagonistic relationships with all of his children except for Erista and Gabby.
- In fact him and Hulk have a very intense and fierce rivalry given how his first appearance depicted him as being an enemy of Hulk. After their first encounter they have been at odds for a long time and fight each other a lot whenever they meet. Over time, these ongoing conflicts have worsened Wolverine's perception of Hulk, and he's repeatedly stabbed him and tried to kill him multiple times in their often brutal and violent battles.
- He is arguably one of the most lethal heroic characters in Marvel Comics as a whole and has probably disposed of most of his villains and even just ordinary foes and sometimes innocents. Even when compared to other lethal heroes like Deadpool, Magneto, Venom or both Scarlet Spiders, he still stands out for his notable violence and occasional enjoyment in combat.
- He is a known addict who is shown to constantly smoke and drink to a severely unhealthy point.
