His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- Unlike most of the protagonists of the franchise, Victor Vance has no any criminal background, instead he is initially presented participating to the US Army in order to earn money for his dysfunctional family and look after them, particularly his younger brother Pete who suffers from asthma.
- Despite he comes from a dysfunctional family where his mother Janet is too neglectful and drug-addicted, and his younger brother Lance is too hot-headed and thrill-seeking who frequently borrows trouble, Victor genuinely cares about them, particularly protecting Lance and constantly saving his life.
- He has a frequent objection towards drugs for a long time, and when Sergeant Jerry Martinez makes him accomplish his drug delivery and gang works, he heavily opposes his orders despite reluctantly doing afterwards to not be fired.
- Also for a long time, he was too reluctant to make into the criminal life, constantly trying to get out of it just to get deeper inside the life tragically.
- He helps Phil Cassidy protecting his liquor depot from Cholos and getting his boomshines out before they overheat and explode.
- He rescues four prostitutes, who are being threatened by Cholos, from being killed by them.
- Despite working for the abusive and ruthless Marty Jay Williams for a while (despite being reluctant too), he eventually makes it up by killing him and destroying his gang.
- By killing Marty, he also manages to save the man's wife Louise Cassidy-Williams, who was about to be raped and sold by his abusive husband for prostitution. He later provides her and her baby both emotionally and financially for a while.
- He rescues multiple women from the burning brothel which is set to fire by the Trailer Park Mafia, by using a firetruck to put out the fires.
- In order to save Louise from the Welfare Man, he scares the man off by threatening him to make him stay away from the woman.
- He helps Umberto Robina taking out the members of Cholos who are wreaking havoc around the Cuban neighborhood.
- He rescues Umberto's sick father Alberto Robina from getting killed by Cholos and drives him to the Cafe carefully to not make him suffer from heart attack.
- When Louise is kidnapped by Martinez's thugs and beaten up, he rescues her and takes her to the hospital before she dies from her mortal wounds.
- He helps Reni Wassulmaier by completing some stunts for his action movie.
- He saves Phil Collins' life from Forelli's men three times, including:
- Rescuing him from the thugs by killing the men and taking Phil to the bulletproof limousine.
- Killing the hitmen who intend to kill Phil in the stadium, providing a safe place for Phil before the time he arrives.
- Protecting him during the concert from the hitmen who are sabotaging the light rig and trying to cutting the cables to make the rig fall onto Phil.
- He collects drug packages dropped from a helicopter by his brother, Lance Vance, when he has a breakdown upon getting too much drugs.
- He rescues Lance Vance from a burning building by taking an air ambulance to there before he dies from burning alive.
- He helps Reni Wassulmaier survive the Mendez Cartel's attacks and takes him to the hospital carefully.
- When Louise and Lance are kidnapped by Armando Mendez, he comes to their rescue, and when finding Louise dead, he feels deep sadness towards her and later avenges her by killing Armando and his goons.
- During their last confrontation, he kills Jerry Martinez and Diego Mendez, managing to destroy the Mendez Cartel and bring an end to Martinez's corrupting actions across Vice City.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Upon joining the criminal life, he becomes too lethal and violent as a powerful individual, and commits dozens of murders and various crimes for multiple crime figures, such as Ricardo Diaz and Gonzalez, which generally involving theft, extortion and property damage.
- Despite objecting it for a long time, he ultimately becomes a full-on effective drug dealer two years after the events of Vice City Stories, as shown making deal with Tommy Vercetti and getting killed during the deal.
