Fought to save the world, but just one of many.
So, I finished Game of Thrones yesterday, will say that I didn't dislike the ending as much as I thought I would, and it had some positives in my opinion. Oh, and I also think there are a few characters that can fit here and the Near Pure Good wiki after having gone through with them, so expect those wikis to get some proposals from this show by me. That said, though, there is one character that, while going through, I felt didn't really do enough to stand out compared to the other characters. I won't doubt she is an heroic and noble night, but I don't believe what she does is enough.

What's the work?[]
Game of Thrones is an HBO series based on the novel series A Song of Ice and Fire, set mostly in the fictional continent of Westeros, with its main focus being the Stark family as they deal with multiple issues and threats after King Robert came to their home in Winterfell.
Who is Brienne of Tarth?[]
Lady Brienne of Tarth is the daughter of Selwyn Tarth, who during the War of the Five Kings served Renly Baratheon before the latter's murder by his brother Stannis, which eventually lead to her serving Catelyn Stark and after her death her children due to swearing an oath to protect Catelyn's daughters, Arya and Sansa. She ends the series becoming the Lady Commander of the Kingsguard.
Why doesn't she count?[]
As I said, Brienne is without a doubt a very heroic character who served House Stark, saved several people throught the show, and fought against the Night King to save the world from his threat, the issue is that what she does is not that admirable compared to other characters, with the one thing that might have pushed her over being shared with others. Brienne's fighting against the wights during the Battle of Winterfell is done by Jon, Daenerys, Arya, Jorah, Jamie, Tormund, Podrick, Davos, Grey Worm, Samwell Tarly, and Lyanna Mormont.
Now, obviously I won't compare Brienne to Jon, Daenerys, Grey Worm, Jorah, Lyanna and Jamie since all of them have a higher power politically or resourse-wise (and in Daenerys and Jon's case, both), but I feel we can compare her to characters like Tormund, Davos, Sam and Theon. Tormund, in addition to fighting against the wights, also saved thousands of his people from being wiped out by the Night King and his army by convincing them to trust the Night's Watch, as well as helping Jon fight against Ramsay during the Battle of the Bastards. Davos saved hundreds of Stannis's soldiers in the past by smuggling food to them, helped in fighting against Ramsay during the Battle of the Bastards, played a bigger role than Brienne in the Battle of Winterfell by serving as the guard on the towers of the castle of Winterfell while the fighting was happening, helped in getting several civilians out to safety during the destruction of King's Landing, and helped in bringing an end to a potential conflict and war between the North and the people still loyal to Daenerys by convincing them to stop and having Grey Worm leave King's Landing with the Unsullied.
Sam's role in the Battle of Winterfell was nothing but extremely pivotal, as had it not been for him no one would have been able to fight off the wights as it's because of him that they found out about the dragonstone needed to build weapons to fight them, in addition to Sam himself fighting in the battle. Theon not only saved Sansa from being tortured by Myranda, tried to give himself in to the Bolton soldiers to make sure she would escape despite knowing Ramsay would torture him, and stole many of Euron's ships with the help of his sisters and thus preventing him from imediatly going to conquer Westeros, he also gave his life to prevent the Night King from killing Bran.
Overall, a several characters help in fighting in the Battle of Winterfell and have bigger roles than her in that regard, and without it, her actions don't stand out as they are limited to saving a few people.
Final Verdict?[]
Personally going with a cut. May shock some people, but Game of Thrones doesn't only have a high heinous standard.
