It's been last year since The Casagrandes Movie was released on March 22, 2024. Well, since Punguari was a Villainous Benchmark without a proper status, she could be qualified here in a better way.
What's the work?[]
The Casagrandes is a 2024 American animated fantasy comedy film based on The Loud House spin-off television series, The Casagrandes. The film follows Ronnie Anne Santiago as she goes on a trip with her family, the Casagrandes, to Mexico on her 12th birthday, but wants to do own her stuff. However, the Casagrandes have faced an apocalyptic disaster on Mexico where they confront an ancient preteen demigod.
Who is she?[]
Punguari is a 12,800 year old demigod and a daughter of Sisiki and Chipiri who wanted to be a full god, but she was repeatedly refused due to her lack of responsibility. She defied her parents' direct order and stole the Mask of Many Faces to become a full god, causing Ucumu, the God of the Underworld, to rise from the depths. Sisiki saved Punguari by transforming her into a mountain as protection from Ucumu striking her daughter, and she and Chipiri sacrificed themselves to seal Ucumu back into the underworld for Punguari's tragic loss.
What's makes her Admirable?[]
- Despite being overprotected, she really loves her parents, even they sacrificed themselves to save the villagers from Ucumu 800 years ago in her honor.
- In her disguise as Shara, she genuinely bonds a friendship with Ronnie Anne as they both share struggles to their respective mothers about doing their own thing. Though she tricked Ronnie Anne into bypassing the artifact room to get the Mask of Many Faces for herself, she still cares Ronnie Anne as her friend.
- After learning the tragic truth about her parents saving her from Ucumu, she ultimately redeems herself for her terrible mistakes and helps Ronnie Anne and the Casagrandes to defeat Ucumu and save Mexico.
- As Ucumu reduces to his weakened state, Punguari rescues her parents as gemstones from falling and breaking into the ground.
- After defeating Ucumu, Punguari uses her magic staff and fully lets go of her obsession by sacrificing her temple right into the massive cracked hole to ensure Ucumu won't rise again, even restoring Punguari's parents back to their physical forms.
- Punguari apologizes to her mother for not listening to her in the first place due to her jealousy and selfishness get the best of her to cause reckless actions in endangering innocents around Mexico and releasing Ucumu on accident.
What's makes her Inconsistent?[]
- She was an extremist since she believed she was ready to become a full god to get what she wanted, but losing control with the Mask of Many Faces will only put her beliefs too extreme.
- While she's not responsible enough, she acted very stubborn of not listening to her parents' directions to become more mature to handle things as a demigod so she can be given her full god position, and Punguari had forgotten to raise the moon three times from last week, even drawing a bunny on it in a irresponsible way.
- On the fateful New Fires ceremony, Punguari was completely consumed by selfishness, obsession, and jealousy into a dark path because her mother Sisiki warned her about the disastrous repercussions of becoming a full god, but Punguari didn't listen. When she lost control of the mask and endangered the villagers, she inadvertently caused the earth below her to start cracking open, causing Ucumu to rise from the depths twice.
Admirable Standards[]
Since The Loud House and The Casagrandes are equally connected in the same continuity, most of the characters from both shows have bog-standard heroisms because they're being too generic to stand out with their admirable general standards. However, Lincoln Loud has committed most of the admirable standards throughout the series since he rescued his family and Angus from being burned by Morag controlling the dragon Lela with the magic staff, saving Royal Woods from being flooded by Joyce Crandall, and nearly sacrificing himself to save his family and Myrtle from being launched into space by Fifi Dufus. Unlike Punguari, Lincoln is just a normal child who doesn't have actual magical powers with similar resources while Punguari herself is an ancient demigod who uses the Mask of Many Faces to transform into a full god.
Punguari has easily passed the admirable standards because she eventually let go of her selfishness and sacrificed her own temple to imprison the most dangerous villain that could have destroyed the whole world. Punguari has indeed made amends for her mistakes by teaming up with Ronnie Anne and the Casagrandes to save Mexico and even rescues her parents trapped in gemstones on Ucumu's headpiece. After the final battle, Punguari has now become a better person with full responsibility to keep Mexico safe alongside her parents.
