Death's Head II

Death's Head II

Death's Head What If

What If #54

I thought of doing this underrated gem here since he is my favorite Marvel character and my interest is what got me into Marvel in the first place so. I will be proposing Death's Head I and II since they are the same character in different bodies. I will also propose his What If Self too. He is by far the hardest IA proposal I do due to how complex his cannon is due to his crossover nature.

What's the work?[]

Well it is complex, he originally first appeared in Marvel's Transformers Comic but he appeared in High Noon Tex first to ensure Marvel claim the rights to him than Hasbro when he debut. Death's Head had crossover with Transformers, Doctor Who, Dragon Claws before landing in Earth-616 where he had his own solo series so on.

Who's the character[]

Death's Head is a character created by by Simmon Furman who well known for his Transformers Comics and the titular character’s series, he originally intended to be a one-shot before his popularity landed him his own solo series and guest star in many other works such as Doctor Who and many Marvel works like the Fantastic Four, She-Hulk and etc. He was later revealed to be created by Ty Rejutka Lupex and Pyra intended to be the body for the former before Pyra turned on him and gave Death's Head programming but was vanished before she can send him away, later it was revealed to be the Doctor's doing viva retcon.

Debated Validations[]

  • His cannon is very wonky as due to his dimension jumping nature, it is unknown if Death's Head in other universes are him or an native variant like his adventures in Earth-15730 or Earth-20051 who helped deal with protect London against Thanos.
  • Since he dimension jumps from other works universes such as Transformers, Doctor Who, Marvel and etc it makes it difficult to determine an set Admirable Standards from which work he has to pass but he done enough Admirable acts to pass the Standards of the Transformers Marvel UK Comics, Doctor Who, and Marvel due to him having lower resources than most characters.

Why he Admirable[]

He got a ton of them oh boy here I go since he is well known for being a guest star in other works he might be tricky since he is adimensional traveler who visit other series works.

  • Despite being a robot programed by Pyra he has a moral agency having a sense of right and wrong.
  • He saved Rodimus Prime's life from Galvatron when he about to deal the finishing blow and bought the other Autobots enough time to attempt to reprogram the time travel device to send everyone back to 2006. Though failed on Galvatron.
  • He resisted Unicron's mind control and helped Rodimus Prime defeat Unicron in the physic mental plane.
  • He saved Reed Richards and Susan Storm's son from a fire.
  • Teamed up with She-Hulk to stop some villains from her work together and help gain proof to lock up a villain named of Bomo up.
  • In the Revolutionary War series Death's Head I and II (Due to time travel stuff) teamed up with various heroes to save the Earth from hostile Mys-Tech who attempted to kill all of the UK and help defeat an evil being named Psycho-Wraith Prime too.
  • When his mind was in the Minion cyborg body and attempted to kill and assimilate Reed Richards. When Richards manage to help Death's Head’s personality take over the cyborg to become Death's Head II, he used computer data of him to download in place thus saving Richards life will filling the cyborg's original mission.
  • He help took down a villain named Charnel who was gonna turn Earth-616 into lifeless husk and kill nearly all the heroes. It is not fridge-horror as an alternate timeline called Earth-9939 where Charnel won and the Earth was in ruin thanks to him. Death's Head prevented that bad future (though it still existed as a splinter timeline) by using a time machine to tear him in half and sent him to two different eras. Though Charnel returned but he managed to put an end to him once and for all.
  • Death's Head II took down that dark future Charnel from Earth-9939 with the help of Death Wreck and Death Metal who rendered the Earth lifeless and killed nearly all of the heroes
  • Death's Head II help S.A.S fight Dracula and a army of vampires.
  • He defeated Chronozone whose race wiped out the human race and then time travel to warn humanity of Chronozone's species.
  • Death's Head II also help Magik fight against the Archenemy.
  • In What If… #54 Death's Head from a timeline he survived his encounter with Minion, he took down his version of Charnel who possessed the Minion cyborg who killed a bunch of people with help of some Marvel heroes.

Death's Head has much lower resources than most Marvel heroes like Scarlet Witch who has powerful magic (Who he teamed up one time lol) or Silver Surfer who has cosmic at his disposal, as Death's Head relies on his weaponry, dimension & time travel equipment, and wits plus whatever allies he has so I think he easily passes because of him playing a major role in helping Rodimus Prime defeat Unicron, his role in taking down two versions of Charnel one version of which who became a threat to Earth-616 and another version who turned an alternate Earth-616 called Earth-9939 into a lifeless wasteland while killing nearby every hero, and his big role in the Revolutional War series is enough admirable acts to pass.

Why he is Inconsistent?[]

Death's Head suffers too many preventions to be NPG as he is too much of an selfish anti-hero who only do heroic actions if he is hired to do or if his life is in danger, he also has been a villain few times making him On & Off many times, he is also very lethal as he has no problems with killing if payed to do it or someone is in his way or threatened as he blew up the Autobot Bumblebee or attempting to kill the Doctor few times before. He also turn against people if someone offers him more money than his current contractor too. He also can be very incompetent as he ended up in debt to Yanduu one time before. He also can get wrathful whenever someone call him a "bounty hunter" which he hates he lashes out and sometimes attack them.

Verdict[]

A mid to big yes as his role in helping Rodimus Prime take down Unicron, defeating two versions of Charnel one which rendered Earth-9939 to a lifeless husk and kill all the heroes and his assistance in his various team might be enough to pass the Admirable Standards of the Marvel UK Transformers Comics and Marvel’s Admirable Standards due to having much lower resources but him being selfish anti-hero who only do admirable acts out of being payed or unless his life in danger, too lethal, and has done some villainous acts meaning he iw On & Off is too much to be NPG.

Note[]

If anyone got questions due to how complex his canon or something ask away and I will to ask to the best of my ability.

REMEMBER!!: You need to factor in the Admirable Standards of 3 different works!: Marvel Transformers UK Comics, Doctor Who and Marvel before deciding to vote! So you need to say which works Admirable Standards he pass or not since his complex crossover canon makes it too difficult to determine which series work's Admirable Standards he stick too. So if vote on just one of the works Admirable Standards it will be voided as an invalid vote since it doesn’t determine if he pass or not for the other 2's Admirable Standards since he might fail to one or two but pass in the other work's Admirable Standards he is in.

So when you vote do this:

Marvel Transformers UK Comics: Yes or no or abstain (State why)

Marvel: Yes or no or abstain (State why)

Doctor Who: Yes or no or abstain (State why)
