Update: So, there's a couple arguments just made against them being cut, but I'll address them all here.
I am aware there are other characters that defeated bog-standard villains approved here or characters that didn't defeat villains at all, but one, the criteria in "if x can qualify, why not y?" is far too case-by-case, two, those villains either rely on too much Fridge Horror so stopping them will result in Fridge Brilliance or that the bog-standard villains don't even go up into trying to kill (or rape, torture, or put a fate worse than death on) one person or badly influence them, so stopping them makes the bog-standard as well, and that the bad effects they stopped causing not caused by villains rely on Fridge Horror or are bog-standard, so stopping those effects would make them bog-standard as well. I also know Kevin McCallister exists but, one, again, the critera in "if x can qualify, why not y?" is far too case-by-case, two, I doubt he counts either. Joy and Sadness are approved because they prevented Riley from having her life being badly influenced, but the characters here just prevented people from being onto generic brainwashing, which I can't say is also admirable.
Also, while the severity being zombified by Jeremy and zapped by a Zapper isn't stated, it's still bad, but I still feel like it needs to be stated how bad they are and it's also said that they still stopped an apocalypse and being zapped is either death or a fate worse than death, but neither of them are stated in the work, and they have to be stated for it to not be Fridge Horror.
Now, to those who voted "keep" on this removal proposal, I would like for you to take these arguments. Feel free to make more arguments though and I'll make some other arguments against those arguments in case there's any. Good day everyboy.
Hello Inconsistently Admirable Wiki and welcome to my first removal proposal, and would you look at it, I'm removing everyone from the Talking Tom & Friends series that has been approved here. Having seen the series myself, I now believe they do not count for the trope thanks to the reasons explained here. Permission from Ivan the Brony Kaiju to make this removal proposal here. Also, there's no image since I don't really know what to put here. I could put the candidates removed but this is more of removing the heroes from the series as a whole. I coult put the logo of the series but, I felt like doesn't really fit. Anyways, let the trial commence!
What's the Work?[]
Talking Tom & Friends is a television series created by Outfit7 based on their franchise of the same name. It revolves around Tom and his friends, Ben, Ginger (the first three are our candidates for today), Angela and Hank going around adventures which the former two also own a company and occasionally stopping villains from doing evil things.
Who are They? What Have They Done?[]
See here for Talking Tom and Ben and see here for Ginger.
Why Don't They Qualify?[]
Talking Tom & Friends is a lighthearted series that, due to its nature, pretty much downplays the consequences prevented by the heroes. I know comedy isn't a prevention, but it does sort of become one when it downplays the consequences the heroes are preventing to cause, and those heroes include these ones.
Them stopping Jeremy the Germ from spreading sickness particularly in "Germinator 2: Zombies"? Really all Jeremy does is just turn people into zombies with not much to add on and while Ben states he couldn't control himself, this isn't really enough weight when he really doesn't get affected by the zombification that much when he gets cured.
Them saving the world from the Zapper invasion in "The Glitch Apocalypse"? All the Zappers do was just turn people into cubes and while that's bad, it's not stated they would die or worse (Ginger's proposal says he prevented millions of death, no he didn't) which just boils down to simple freezing, which isn't enough. The Landlord is shown shocked when being zapped, but this isn't really enough weight and it could be just him being surprised of the Zapper zapping him, and again, he doesn't really get affected by the zapping when he turns back to normal, not helping this time, we don't even see this.
Them saving Angela from being brainwashed in "The Digital Queen"? She's not aware at all about the brainwashing and, yet again, she isn't really affected by the brainwashing. Also, as stated earlier in this section, there needs to be proof their risked their lives in this with all the Zapper stuff, otherwise it just has them risking of being simply frozen, which isn't enough.
Them redeeming Jeremy the Germ who's wreaking havoc in town in "The Good Germ"? All Jeremy is doing is just consuming the things in the town and while there's people running from him, it's not enough weight, what doesn't help is that when he's seen eating things from a building, nobody comes out, just mere objects, and when he gets defeated, he only throws out objects out of his mouth and not people. His IH proposal says it endangered millions and then says it's unknown if it endangered millions in a comment on it which is borderline contradictory.
Them stopping Skip Flipper from keeping a stinknado going on to wreak havoc in "The Weather Machine"? It's not stated if anyone would die as a result and while a tornado in real-life would kill many people, that needs to be stated in the series, which it isn't and it only has destruction which isn't enough.
Them stopping Nigel from flooding the whole town into sludge and letting other germs invade it as well as redeeming Jeremy again in "The Bad Germ"? It's not stated if anyone will die or not and the most we see of them is being attacked which isn't enough since it's not by that much and Jeremy even states that they'll all leave instead of die.
Also, uh, I better make a separate section for something regarding Jeremy as a whole; he's IH right now but he's planned to be removed due to too much Fridge Horror for the reasons listed here.
Without those deeds, they don't really have anything to be admirable enough to be here. They did stop many other villains, but they basically either fall under the same problem so much they're not worth mentions here or that those villains are bog-standard making the admirable deeds of stopping them bog-standard as well.
Verdict?[]
Cut.
