No More Heroes is a game series centers about Travis Touchdown, a vigilante who's intent is to become #1 assassin in the world. The game features 4 games, with the last game being released nealry 4 years ago. It is a semi hack & slash genre, with the main goal is to defeat the villain who threaten the world.
Who is Travis Touchdown[]
As said above, He's a violent anti hero and a vigilante whose main goal is to become #1 assassin by killing the largest number of people possible, regardless if they are innocent or not. But despite that, he saves the world from many notorious villains more than once.
What did he do/What makes him admirable[]
- Spared Shinobu Jacobs’ life in the first game after defeating her, leading her to idolize him later and become his ally.
- Defeated Dark Star and Jeane, ultimately ending his family’s tragic and abusive legacy.
- Refused to kill Kimmy Howell, a college student and aspiring assassin, stating he “can’t kill a co-ed.”
- Felt remorse for killing the cheerleaders piloting the Santa Death Parade mech, realizing they weren’t truly evil.
- Spared Captain Vladimir’s body from destruction and showed respect for him.
- Freed Henry from carbonite after defeating Dr. Letz Shake, which allowed him to live again.
- Destroys the Death Drive MK-II mother machine to stop the U.S. government’s plan to create super soldiers, and prevents a massive militarization which would've possibly caused a lot of deaths and endangered the world.
- Sought justice for Bishop, his best friend, after Bishop was brutally murdered by Pizza Bat agents.
- Teamed up with Badman in Travis Strikes Again, helping him to resurrect his daughter, Bad Girl.
- Fought through the CIA facility to stop the super soldier cloning project tied to the Death Drive MK-II.
- Showed empathy toward Dr. Juvenile and respected her intellect and trauma even while battling her.
- Successfully resurrected Bad Girl, helping Badman fulfill his wish (albeit initially as a dog, later properly).
- Fought to protect Earth from alien invasion and standed against FU and Damon to save the planet.
- Avenged Badman’s death and fought to protect his allies after FU murdered him and left Shinobu in a coma.
- Defeats FU once and for all and saves the planet from being conquered by his forces
His corrupting Factors/Inconsistencies[]
- Overall, he's an anti-hero, who's obsessed with becoming the best assassin in the world and kills whoever stands in his way without a question, which also makes him too lethal. He also kills with sadism and sometimes enjoys killing his enemies.
Amirable Standards[]
No one really competes with him, as the other characters like Sylvia, Henry, and Bad Girl are merely supporting characters, and he does most of the work. He's the big good of the series who saves the world more than once which no one else does in the series. To add, he defeats Fu and Death Drive, saving the world from being conquered by them, which are considered his main good deeds that help him pass the admirable standards
