Inconsistently Admirable Wiki
Queen Bee

Hello. Today will be my next reproposal for the status of an IA, and it is dedicated to Queen Bee. I think you can try it here. Thanks to Ivan the Brony Kaiju for giving me permission to do this. I'm not sure what will happen, but since the status of Kagami's NPG is currently being discussed, it's worth thinking about Chloe.

What is the Work?[]

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir - a French animated series about superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir, who are opposed to the supervillain Hawk Moth.

Who is she?[]

Chloé Bourgeois, also known as Queen Bee, is the fallen heroine of the animated series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. She is the former owner of the bee mascot, until she fell and was replaced by her sister Zoé Lee.

Her Good Ranking[]

What Makes Her Admirable?[]

  • She always took great care of her mother, and always wanted her to be proud of her.
  • Although she reluctantly tried to improve, she invited her classmates to her party.
  • It was thanks to her that Ladybug and Cat Noir managed to defeat Despair Bear, because she saved Ladybug, helped her bring Cat Noir back to her mind and finally catch Despair Bear.
  • She sacrificed her life, thus giving Ladybug a chance to save the whole city from infected zombies. She also sincerely apologized to Madame Bustier for the trouble she had caused her.
  • She told Ladybug exactly where Sabrina's akuma was. It was thanks to this that Sabrina was saved.
  • Despite her rude attitude towards Sabrina, she still took care of her somewhat, as she even protected her from akuma once.
  • After getting her hands on the bee mascot, she became the superhero Queen Bee.
  • She helped defeat the Malediktator, thereby saving the whole of Paris from brainwashing.
  • She sincerely apologized to Ladybug and Cat Noir for being akumatized.
  • She helped the other heroes defeat many of the akumatized villains that Hawk Moth had set on them.
  • She was always willing to help Ladybug, and even when Ladybug didn't take her on assignments, she didn't get mad at her at first, and even scolded Sabrina when she insulted her.
  • She rejected Hawk Moth's offer to join him, showing that she was loyal to Ladybug.
  • It was thanks to her that they managed to defeat Miraculer, and if she had, then the villainess would have defeated Ladybug and Cat Noir.
  • She also refused Mayura's offer to join them in their villainous deeds.

What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]

  • She is too anti-heroic in her heroic deeds, as she is often the cause of the akumatization of many people, and very rarely repents of such a thing. She was also very vain, and wanted to be revered as a superhero.
  • To call her too jerkish would be a big understatement. Although she became more friendly and gentle over the course of seasons 1-3, she still had a lot of rude and arrogant moments that were not rejected. She mostly despised Marinette, and often drove her crazy.
  • At the end of season 3, she is fallen, because she betrayed Ladybug and joined Hawkmoth, as well as brainwashed the whole of Paris and revealed the identities of almost all superheroes. After that, she lost almost all of her positive qualities and in subsequent seasons becomes angrier and more despicable.

Admirable Standards[]

It's quite difficult here, but it seems to me that Chloe stands out quite well. To begin with, her page on the Heroic Benchmark says that she is inferior to the standard of Alya and Viperion, but I think it's unfair to compare her with them, because they had more opportunities, because they had much more time than Chloe, who was very rarely given a mascot. However, almost every time she appeared as the Queen Bee, she helped defeat dangerous villains who threatened all of Paris, and also played a key role in saving Ladybug and Cat Noir (you saw it above). She also played an important role in saving Paris three times back when she didn't have a mascot, which is also admirable enough to stand out. I can say that she did it even better than Kagami, despite the fact that the latter had more resources and opportunities.

Verdict[]

If not for her fall at the end of season 3, she would have become an NPG in the future, but since the author simply disliked her, this did not happen. However, I still think she's admirable, so I'll say a weak yes.
