Uncle Chan is one of the three main characters in the animated series Jackie Chan Adventures. He is an experienced Qi wizard, Jackie Chan's uncle, Jade's great uncle and Tohru's teacher. With his unique knowledge, he often helps the heroes in their fight against evil.
He was voiced by Sab Shimono.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- Being the wisest hero of the animated series, it is he who most often helps other heroes overcome the dark forces thanks to his vast knowledge of magic and spells to defeat evil.
- He takes great care of his nephew Jackie and his great-granddaughter Jade, as well as his student Tohru.
- It was he who told Jackie the power of the talismans he found, and together with him and Jade, he began to fight the Dark Hand gang so that they would not get these talismans.
- After receiving the horse talisman, he became very strong, and together with Jackie defeated Hak Foo, preventing him from getting other talismans.
- He gave Jackie a spell with which he was able to defeat the evil demonic dragon Shendu, and thereby prevent him from destroying Asia.
- He was also able to use his spells to seal all the demon gates, thereby preventing Shendu from releasing his brothers and sisters to Earth.
- He helped Jade to rewrite the Book of Ages properly, thereby bringing back the old reality where demons did not rule the world.
- He cast a spell that stripped the Brotherhood of Magisters of their magical powers, thereby preventing them from destroying the cities.
- He prevented the evil sorcerer Daolon Wong from killing Tohru.
- He prevented Daolon Wong from making all the people in the world blind, deaf or dumb.
- He, along with other heroes, prevented Daolon Wong from obtaining the powers of all Shendu talismans, and also turned Shendu back into a statue when he was revived by Daolon Wong.
- Despite his hostile relationship with Tohru's mom, he still gave her a Christmas present that she liked.
- Although at first he felt unnecessary in the fight against oni, it was because he didn't really know anything about it, and considered Tohru the best teacher at it. However, he later returned, and even saved Jackie, Jade, and Tohru from Shadowkhan.
- He sincerely repented of the fact that he often asked Tohru to do too much work, and that, in his opinion, he was captured because of him, and even then saved him.
- When all the oni were released and began to plunge the world into darkness, it was Uncle who managed to find out about the eighth mask and send Tohru after her, which led to victory over all the oni and saving the world from them.
- He, along with Jackie, Jade, Tohru, Viper, El Toro and Hak Foo finally defeated Drago and Shenda, and thereby prevented the Apocalypse.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is too arrogant and narcissistic for NPG, and constantly talks about himself in the third person and praises himself for every act. He even goes so far as to brag about his strength to the villains, as well as humiliate and tease them.
- He often behaves like an irritated jerk, constantly grumbling about trifles, and being rude to his allies. Even the other characters are shocked by this.
- Sometimes he can be selfish and insensitive, for example, when he didn't really care about Tohru when he was arrested, and he was more worried that he never did the job for him.
