What could possibly go wrong?
~ Timmy's catchphrase

Timothy Tiberius "Timmy" Turner is the main protagonist of The Fairly OddParents and one of the two titular main protagonists (alongside local genius Jimmy Neutron) of its Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius crossover, The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour.

He is voiced by Tara Strong who also voiced Raven from Teen Titans and her reboot incarnation in Teen Titans Go!, young Ben Tennyson in the Ben 10 franchise, Harley Quinn in Injustice. He is also voiced by Mary Kay Bergman in the Oh Yeah! Cartoons short episodes.

His future self was voiced by Alec Baldwin.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

  • He cares about his parents despite their neglect of him, Cosmo and Wanda as his godparents, and his best friends Chester and A.J.
  • Despite his numerous attempts to win Trixie over, he still genuinely cares about her, regardless of whether she rejects him or not.
  • He often learns from the damages his wishes have caused and thrives to fix them.
  • At times Timmy can be nice to Tootie.
    • After initially being mean to Tootie, Timmy discovers that Tootie is tormented by her older sister Vicky even more than he is. He apologizes and gives her his old Crimson Chin doll, showing a moment of genuine empathy.
    • When Tootie's birthday is ruined by Vicky, Timmy feels bad for her. He gives her a kiss on the cheek (after convincing her to change her demand from a kiss on the lips) as a "birthday wish", which temporarily satisfies her.
    • Although he is repulsed by Tootie's crush on him, he does sympathize with her for the abuse Vicky gives her and once intentionally shoots himself with Cupid's love arrow to be her Valentine, even turning down Trixie's offer saying she'd be his valentine after seeing Tootie crying.
    • Tootie stood up for Timmy against the bully Francis. When Francis threatened Tootie, Timmy stepped in and defeated Francis by defending her, leading Tootie to kiss him.
    • When Crocker, Dark Laser, and Tootie all stay at Timmy's house, Timmy ultimately negotiates with Tootie, offering a kiss on the cheek to get her to leave, a small but kind gesture to end the chaos.
    • The live-action movie depicted a more solidified romantic relationship where Timmy was willing to give up his fairies for Tootie, and their bond was not reset at the end of the story.
  • Although he had a chance to wish for tickets to Crash Nebula on Ice for him, Chester and A.J. with the last drop of magic lemonade from Cosmo's sock, he instead sympathetically gives it to one of the enslaved kids from Vicky's sweatshop.
  • In Abra-Catastrophe!, he sacrifices his secret about his fairies in order to save them, as well as defeating Crocker and undoing his reign of terror.
  • In Channel Chasers, he defeated Vicky and undid the bad future where she would take over the world with the magic universal remote.
    • At the end of the same special, when his parents finally learned that Vicky is evil and fired her, Timmy sacrifices his own happiness for his fairies by erasing everyone's memories knowing that Vicky was the reason he had Cosmo and Wanda in the first place and that he'd lose them without her tormenting him every day and accepts putting up with her if it means keeping his fairies.
  • He helped Mark Chang escape his arranged marriage despite their feud.
  • In Schools Out!: The Musical, he redeemed Flappy Bob by showing him that HP and Sanderson were using him for their 37-year plan to take over Fairy World and teaching him the true meaning of fun, eventually saving both Earth and Fairy World.
  • He's very protective of Poof and takes the big brother role very seriously.
  • In "The Fairy Oddlympics", to try to put an end to the rivalry between Fate, Anti-Fairies and Pixies, he convinces them to play the first Olympic Games, and when Jorgen is knocked down, he makes a bet with Anti-Cosmo and HP that if they win he will have to go with one of them. He then becomes the coach of the Fairies and encourages them to have self-confidence and when they win since if they won, Anti-Cosmo and HP have to do what Timmy told them, he tells them "absolutely nothing", to make them learn their lesson that by cheating you never get anything.
  • In Wishology, he was chosen to stop The Darkness over Turbo Thunder, who was initially believed to be the Chosen One but was proven unworthy later on. Throughout out the special:
    • He sacrificed himself to the Darkness to save his parents, his friends, and even his worst enemies Vicky and Mr. Crocker.
    • He defeated the Destructinator and stopped him from launching weapons onto The Darkness to take over the world.
    • He realized The Darkness was only attacking because it was looking for a friend and gave it a peaceful life instead of destroying it.
  • In "The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour", he stops Decimator Goddard form destroying Retroville, and later when Jimmy nearly leaves the fairies behind under Crocker’s rule, Timmy uses Goddard to help Jimmy understand what the fairies mean to him, which led to Jimmy to save Fairy World form Crocker.
  • In "The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 2", he helped Jimmy Neutron save Retroville from Professor Calamitous who had Jorgen Von Strangle under his control, but with Jimmy's help, Jorgen was free. He also helped him stop Anti-Cosmo who was causing havoc in Dimmsdale.
  • In "The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 3", he helped Jimmy Neutron save their worlds from being destroyed by Shirley and apologized to him for the way they treated him.
  • He sympathized with Remy Buxaplenty for having worse parents than his own, despite everything Remy had done to take away Timmy's fairies.
  • After beating Remy in a magical duel, which makes Remy lose Juandissimo, Timmy wishes Remy would be able to spend more time with his parents.
  • He stopped the Nega-Chin from taking over Dimmsdale with his army of comic book supervillains by wishing up his own army of Crimson Chins.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He's very arrogant and commonly abuses wishes for his own selfish gain, often causing disasters such as turning into a supervillain after wishing to do the opposite of what his parents tell him, almost sending the Earth into the sun by wishing every food in the world to be dessert, etc. Although he usually learns from his mistakes, he completely forgets them by the next episode and keeps making careless wishes. While he almost always tried finding a way to solve the problems his careless wishes caused, it is still too much for him to be Near Pure Good.
    • There are also times where Timmy wears his fairies out, best shown in the episodes "Wishing Well", "A Wish Too Far!" and "Fairy Idol". While he does regret his actions in the ending of each episode, this is only after he receives a punishment for them and never fully subverts this trait.
    • It is heavily implied multiple times that his many reckless and dangerous wishes have prompted Fairy World to add more rules to Da Rules than when the series began best shown in episodes such as "Love Struck!" and "Christmas Every Day".
    • In "Father Time", he wished for heat vision and melted his father's marathon trophy, then went back in time and stopped him from winning in the first place, accidentally creating a future where his parents never met and his dad became a tyrant who forced the entire world to always smile.
    • In "Schools Out, The Musical!", he wished for kids to take over the world, which gets his godparents taken away and unintentionally aids the Pixies in their 37-year plan to take over Fairy World.
    • In "Power Pals", he's shown to take advantage of his friends, such as having AJ do all the work on a project, having Sanjay and Elmer carry him up a piano, cutting in front of Elmer to get the last steak, and using Chester as a doormat.
    • In "Love Struck!", after Trixie rejects him on Valentine's Day, he wishes for a world without girls, which almost kills Cupid due to the absence of love.
    • In "Timmy's Secret Wish!", it's revealed that he made a secret wish which caused everyone on Earth to stop aging just so he could stay 10 and keep his fairies forever and wished for Cosmo to forget he ever granted the wish.
  • There are quite a few times where he can act like a jerk, especially to his friends and family.
  • His love for Trixie Tang borders upon obsession to the point some of his careless wishes are based on his one-sided crush with Trixie.
  • He lacks respect in authority and natural order such as Jorgen Von Strangle, Cupid, and The Fairy Council through him constantly breaking Da Rules. This often results in Timmy constantly being in danger of having his fairies taken away from him.
  • Timmy takes pleasure in Crocker's pain such as having him get beat up by Principal Waxelplax in "New Squid In Town!" and being used as a punching bag in "Certifiable Super Sitter" (who hasn't committed any villainous acts in either of them). It's also worth noting that Crocker isn't that heinous of a villain to deserve such treatment, especially when compared to his other rivals such as Vicky or Dark Laser.
    • While he tolerates Tootie sometimes, Timmy feels little but no sympathy for her and Vicky's parents, even after learning that they fear their oldest daughter. Such as in "Timmy's 2-D House of Horror", where the volcano (whom Timmy wished for) erupted as the lava destroyed their house as Timmy watches with delight which he soon regretted with his parents offered the family to stay with them. Fed up and sickened by this, Timmy wished for them to be scared out of their home. Of course, this became karma as Tootie was literally waiting at his doorstep for him in a wedding dress, and has him in her clutches, much to Timmy's fear.
  • He is On & Off, as some of his actions are performed are portrayed in a villainous light.
    • He tried to kill Jimmy Neutron, happily scuffing while he falls off his rocket bike and wouldn't have even bothered helping him had Wanda not forced him. Even then, he showed reluctance when doing so and sounded very annoyed.
    • In "Cosmo Rules", he took advantage of Cosmo's stupidity and knowingly broke Da Rules.
    • In "Mother Nature", he gets rid of a large amount of gelatin by wishing it onto Dimmsdale's neighboring city, Brightburg, causing the latter to fall underground.
      • What makes this worse is Timmy grins before doing so, meaning he knew of the consequences.
