NOTE: This page is only about the version of Terence from the Original video games and all tie in media, as his Film counterpart was not voted Inconsistently Admirable, thus only information from relating to the Classicverse should be put here.

Terence is a major protagonist in the Angry Birds franchise created by Rovio Entertainment. He was first introduced in 2010, and was the second new character added to the game who was not one of the original five birds in the Flock.

His Good ranking[]

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

  • He is extremely honorable and is willing to protects his allies.
  • He has a very tragic backstory, as he was traumatized by the true cruelty of the pigs at a young age, which messed with his mental state.
    • Despite this pain, Terence is still dedicated to protecting his kind at all costs, proving that he isn’t broken by his past.
  • In "The Big Setup", he immediately decided to battle the pigs after finding out they kidnapped all the birds. During this, he freed Hal from the pig's capture, allowing him to join the mission.
  • With the help of Hal, they saved the rest of the flock from imprisonment by defeating the pigs.
  • He defeated el porkadoer.
  • Despite being clearly being insane and mentally ill, he doesn’t have moral agency issues as he still has a clear sense of right and wrong.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He is an On & Off and isn’t always presented as a heroic character such as when he stole king pig’s toy for petty reasons.
  • He is a Hero by proxy as he only became an ally because he needed to protect his species in the moment.
  • Due to his trauma, he is extremely xenophobic and lethal towards pigs, showing sadistic pleasure from harming them. He has a vile prejudice against pigs and hunts them down to harm them regardless of if they are evil or not, even attacking them when they aren't doing anything wrong while other birds only fight pigs to protect the eggs. Even his allies are disturbed by these actions.
    • This was especially shown in the Angry Birds Toons episode "Nighty Night Terence", where he rolls over the pigs while they desperately attempt to put him back to sleep. With the pigs did attempt to steal the eggs, it doesn't change the fact that Terence smiled while harming them.
    • This makes him a hypocrite as he willing commits violence acts which may give pigs trauma themselves.
    • It's implied in a Christmas comic that he was even willing to commit populicide by causing mass destruction in pig city, simply because he was attempting to secure a slingshot.
  • Him not caring whenever Chuck gets injured is a frequent gag in Angry Birds Toons. In "Fix It!", he watched Chuck injure himself for hours while attempting to fix the slingshot, even leaving him to burn in a fire, only to fix it himself. In "Run Chuck Run", he flings Chuck off the podium and even smirks at the end of the episode.
  • He has jerkish moments like destroying the houses of multiple pigs who did nothing wrong.
  • His characterization is questionable due to being mute and showing no forms of body language, however the preventions above make this a minor prevention.

Trivia[]

  • His film counterpart does not qualify as Inconsistently Admirable due to failing the admirable standards.
