Star Butterfly is the titular main protagonist of the Disney show Star vs. the Forces of Evil. She is the former princess of Kingdom of Mewni sent to Earth to by her parents to learn how to use her wand. There she meets Marco Diaz, a normal boy who not only becomes one of her closest friends, but eventual boyfriend as he helps her navigate the unfamiliar world while fighting off against the forces of evil.
She was voiced by Eden Sher.

In General[]
- She accepts the responsibility of staying on Earth.
- She is very friendly and makes friends very easily.
- She treats Glossaryck well, despite him being hard to handle sometimes.
- Through the entirety of the first season, she prevented Ludo from getting her wand and wreaking havoc across Mewni.
Season 1[]
- She tried effortlessly to make friends with Marco Diaz.
- When Ludo Avarius tries to steal her wand, she and Marco defeat him.
- She tries to help her teacher, Mr. Skullnick, get a date with a monster after she accidentally gets turned into one.
- When she thinks that the enemy American football team is going to kill Marco and her friends, she sets up lots of traps to kill them and when she realizes it was just a game; she disarms her traps and saves both teams from dying.
- She tries to find a spell to return Marco's arm to normal.
- She unmade the spell that turned Marco's arm into a monstrous arm.
- When she thinks another interchange student in the Diaz house is trying to kill them, she tries to stop him before he does so. Late when she finds out the truth, she apologizes for thinking that he was going to kill the Diazs.
- When Marco accidentally transports many monsters to the house in an attempt to make Star more cheered up, she helps defeat them.
- She saves Mr. and Mrs. Diaz and a lot of other people from being digested by a dragon.
- She saves all students on a bus when it was attacked by Ludo.
- She acts friendly towards the whole school and is instantly rewarded with lots of friendship.
- She asks Marco to get her away from all types of boys during her mewberty, as she knows she might do something bad to them.
- She didn't get angry at Ferguson, Alfonzo, and Marco for discharging her mirror.

- While she didn't want to help Lobster Claw due to her prejudice against monsters, she eventually helped him regain his job with Ludo.

- She cheered Marco up when he confessed he felt useless near her due to his inability to do magic and help in the fights.
- She, in the end, gives her ex-boyfriend, Tom Lucitor, another chance to make up for his mistakes and take her to the Blood Moon Ball.

- While she got angry when she discovered Marco sneaked into the Blood Moon ball, it's understandable, and she forgave him.

- She didn't attack Buff Frog when he was unmasked and even gave him a bit of corn.
- She learned her lesson about responsibility while she got a class on an excursion.
- Saved the whole class from the Most Dangerous Creature in the Universe, along with Marco and Skullnick.
- She stopped herself from only using her wand and becoming lazy in doing things without it.
- She saved Marco from the monsters and from his own magically overgrown beard.
- She wanted to apologize for a discussion she had with Marco.
- When she knew that Marco was kidnapped, she went to save him.
- She urged Mr. and Mrs. Diaz not to follow her as it was dangerous, and she had to do it alone.
- She allied herself with Buff Frog and Ludo to defeat Toffee.
- When she broke into the castle, she blasted Toffee's arm out and paralyzed all monsters, and freed Marco. His prison, however, came back, and she had to do a deal with Toffee, destroying her wand and killing the unicorn in it (something she did extremely reluctantly and felt remorse) in exchange for Marco's freedom. When he got freed, she hid herself with him, as she knew a big explosion was going to follow those events.

Season 2[]
- She saved Marco when he got locked in her closet.
- She prevented Mina Loveberry from taking over Earth and killing many people by throwing them off a cliff.
- She helped her father see the Old Youthful.
- She took care of Buff Frog's toddlers.
- She teaches Marco the importance of fun, while she herself learned from him the importance of following the rules.
- She helped Marco and Pony defeat the Goblin, expose his lies, and get a Gnome Dog for themselves.
- She saved Glossaryck from being crushed.
- Tried to fix her friendship with Glossaryck.
- Fought Ludo when he reappeared with a new wand.
- After Marco talked to her, she stopped herself from being changed by the rivalry of the Flag Game.
- She made all royals see how Flag Game was dumb, and how there was no need for such rivalry.
- She tried to "free" Skullnick's hamster.
- She helped the detention class in everything they asked her to do.
- By making the Truth Box see how lies and truths are subjective, and not black and white, she made it glitch, crash, and stopped it from killing her, Marco, Jackie, and Pony Head.
- She gave Marco a Friends to the End gift card, as she wanted him to buy something he liked, but didn't know it could kill both of them.
- Saved Marco from Rasticore.
- Helped expel the ghost, Larry, from Mr. Diaz's house.
- She went inside her wand to fix her spells, and upon getting there, she prevents an alternate version of herself from her own memories from meddling with the timeline and taking her place.
- She retrieved Toffee's finger from inside her wand.
- She helped Marco with his curse by distracting Jackie until he dealt with it.
- Helped Marco and Jackie on their date, even trying to isolate herself from them, before they insisted they wanted her there.

Season 3[]
- She helped her mother put the Magic Council in the reviving chamber.
- She helped take care of Buff Frog's pollytoads while they were in his house.
- By making Ludo understand Toffee was manipulating him, she ended his tyranny over Mewni, even if she knew it would be followed by an explosion that ended up trapping her in her own wand.
- She killed Toffee by disintegrating his body with a magical blast, ending his schemes once and for all.
- She learned to let go of Marco, as he had to stay on Earth with his family.
- Though initially skeptical, since her mother and most Mewnian community demonize her, she befriended Eclipsa, who believed monsters and Mewmans could live in peace and was not nearly a bad queen as people made her look like she was.
- She made amends with Tom and realized he was just trying to give her the space she always wanted.
- She convinced Tom he didn't need to do his Demonicism.

- She helped her father capture the bogbeast, and when she learned, there wasn't one, and he was trying to teach her a lesson, she apologized to him for being impulsive and thanked him for his lesson.
- She allowed the bog dwellers to make a party.
- She, her mother, and Eclipsa made up a trial to expose the Magic Council's lies and what they did to Meteora.
- Tried preventing the monsters from leaving Mewni to ensure that peace really did happen.
- Said farewell to Buff Frog and his babies.
- Saved Marco from being turned into a motionless picture.
- When her mother disappeared, she, as acting queen, tried to have someone stop Meteora while she looks for Moon.
- She is very reluctant to let Marco face Meteora since she knows it is dangerous, so she only does so when she fights him with her best spells, and he proves to be strong enough.
- She enters the magical realm she herself created to look for her mother and used a device to make sure she didn't forget who she was like the last time she went there.
- She fought Meteora and protected her kingdom long enough so Eclipsa could defeat her.
Season 4[]
- She looked tirelessly for her mother across the realms.
- When she found her mother at the Pie Island, she got a little of her memory back and brought her back home.
- She convinced Moon to accept Eclipsa's rule.
- She stopped Eclipsa from fighting Rhombulus to free Globgor, as that would make her the villain the people already see her as.
- Saved Nachos from Fire Demons.
- Saved Tom from the Lava Lake.
- Tried to have Pony Head increase Eclipsa's popularity among the people.
- While she hid one of the Book of Spells' pieces, it was to prevent Globgor from causing chaos if he was released. She later acknowledged she was prejudicial and allowed Globgor to be brought back.
- She invited Buff Frog and other monsters to a cornball game to put aside their prejudice.
- She decides to apologize to Marco for calling him "Quitter".
- She convinced Globgor not to run away and exposed Rhombulus as the one who freed him.
- She helped Marco take care of Meteora and Mariposa.
- She saved Eclipsa from one of Mina's solarian armor and destroyed it, only for Marco to warn them there was still an entire army coming.
- She finally admitted her feelings to Marco.
- She stopped Mina and her Solarian warriors from committing genocide on monsters by destroying magic.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She is reckless, and while her recklessness was toned down a lot, compared to the start of the series, she still makes too many dangerous decisions from time to time.
- She has some jerkish moments, such as when she refused to give a chance to the songwriter due to her own preconceptions about princess songs, and treated him rudely. She also turned a guy into a squirrel out of anger, and before she could reverse it, an eagle took him away. Although he didn't die, Star didn't feel any remorse.
- In the finale, she destroyed magic to make sure Mina wouldn't be able to commit genocide on monsters. While this was out of the best of the intentions, it was a very extremist act with many side-causalities, including unicorns, The High Magical Commission, the Spells, and Glossaryck.
Trivia[]
- Because Daron Nefcy is open to continuing the series in the future, if Disney lets her, there is a possibility that her status could be affected.
