Sonic the Hedgehog is the main protagonist of the Sonic Boom series. He is an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog, gifted with super speed, who fights Dr. Eggman and other villains, and the leader of Team Sonic.
He was voiced by Roger Craig Smith who also voiced Chris Redfield and Batman in Arkham Origins.

- In Rise of Lyric, he warns that whoever doesn't get to the Tornado in time will be left behind, but he could've been joking, and was never shown to be ready to leave his friends behind afterwards.
- In "The Evil Dr. Orbot", when Lady Walrus cries that her baby is in trouble yet again, Sonic says that he and his team will get to it later, but isn't seen going to rescue the baby afterwards. However, since it's unknown if the baby was in serious danger and the team was distracted by a fight with Orbot, it's hard to say if it's corrupting.
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
In the games[]
- Tried to save his friends from Eggman and Metal Sonic by hiding inside Lyric's Tomb, though this only caused more problems.
- Traveled back in time to get the map to the Chaos Crystals and ended up stopping Lyric's plan for the time being. He also met a turtle scientist and warned him not to plant poison berries that would infest Slowpoke Isle in the future.
- Ultimately learned to appreciate his teammates for the help he got from them instead of claiming all credit for heroism.
- Drew Lyric and Eggman away from Bygone Island.
- Ultimately defeated Lyric, saving organic life on Earth from extermination.
- Saved Amy (and later all his other friends) from Lyric, even if he wasn't the one to save the day in the end (it was Shadow), he did his best.
- Closed the fissures created by Eggman's Ragnium mining, saving the world in the process.
In the comics[]
- Saved Tails' house from being abducted by Eggman's "rock-cyborg".
- Searched for Amy's hammer when it got lost.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is often way too arrogant, jerkish and self-centered. Sonic always wants to be the one to save the day, thinks very highly of himself and can get jealous whenever someone else gets the spotlight.
- He also often tends to be a egotistical jerk, sometimes towards his own friends, and regularly enjoys messing with Eggman (or disrespecting him) even when he doesn't do anything evil or antagonistic.
- He has a few moments of being excessively wrathful and petty, most notably attacking Tails for bringing him to the concert a month early.
- He can get extremely mischievous and childish many times, as he enjoyed pranking both Knuckles and Eggman.
