Frederick Bulsara better known as Sol Badguy, is the main protagonist of the Guilty Gear franchise and Ky Kiske's eternal rival. Initially, he appears to be an aloof and lazy bounty hunter who's incredible combat and fighting skills are contradicted to his sloth and gruffness. but below the surface he's in actuality a brilliant genius with a hidden emotional side.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- Joining the Gear Project with the goal of helping to improve humanity as Frederick.
- Saving Kliff Undersn from a Gear in 2103.
- Fighting against the Gears during the Crusades and continued his private war against them to date to protect humans from them.
- Battling Justice, the leader of the Gears, numerous times.
- Defeating and sealing Justice in order to effectively end the Crusades.
- Sparing Dizzy's life instead of killing her because he recognized her will to live.
- Fighting against I-No and That Man to protect the world from them.
- Helping Ky when he was at his breaking point and taking care of Sin.
- Disciplining and protecting Sin during the two's travels.
- Battling Vizuel to protect the Illyrian capital.
- Saving Ky from a seal.
- Killing Valentine to save the world from her.
- Building the Junkyard Dog in order to be prepared for the second coming of Valentine's forces.

- Overall, while he initially started the series with numerous corrupting qualities (namely his laziness and aggression), he ends up subverting most of them. As he later grows into becoming much more willing to spare the lives of gears, cooperate with Asuka/That Man in Xrd and Strive and make amends with them during his quests. He even grows from anti-hero to an outright hero by the end, with the world even seeing him as a hero and their savior while Sol himself retires from his life as a bounty hunter.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He became a mercenary to hunt down to hunt down and kill gears. And while he grows more willing to spare their lives later on, he's still overall too lethal to qualify as PG or NPG.
- His primary motivation for becoming a hero is for the sake of getting revenge against Asuka/That Man and the destruction of Gears. While he truly does aim to prevent further tragedy in and grant peace to the world, with him even subverting this as the series goes on, making this a minor prevention.
- He can be a huge jerk to his own friends, for too much to be NPG. whether they be his friend or enemy. Although starting in Xrd, he significantly mellows out and becomes much nicer to others, so this is also a minor prevention.
