Shenron the titular character and a supporting protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise. He is the wish granting dragon created by Kami of the Earth Dragon Balls with the ability to grant two wishes every time he is summoned.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
Dragon Ball[]
- Granting Upa's wish to bring back his late father.
- Resurrecting everyone killed by King Piccolo and his spawns upon according to the Z-fighters' wish, which included Krillin, Master Roshi, and Chiaotzu.
Saiyan Saga[]
- Granting Master Roshi's wish to have Goku revived following the latter's sacrifice to kill Raditz.
Frieza Saga[]
- Bringing everyone who was killed in Namek by Frieza and his henchman back to life as wished by Mr. Popo, with Vegeta, Guru, and Dende being among them.
Cell Saga[]
- Resurrecting everyone Cell killed as wished by Z-fighters.
- Extracting the bombs inside Android 17 and Android 18 as wished by Krillin, effectively saving both of them following their redemptions.
Majin Buu Saga[]
- Bringing everyone that was killed during the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament back to life. He also gave opportunity to clarify the wish so that evil ones wouldn’t have been bringed back.
- Once Kid Buu was defeated, he erased any memories of Majin Buu from everyone on Earth (sans the Z-fighters and their families/friends).
Battle of Gods[]
- Telling the Z-fighter the method needed in order to create a Super Saiyan God (which required 5 pure-hearted Saiyans holding hands around Goku to give him their own power). Which allowed Goku to be granted the ability to stop Beerus from destroying Earth. And while Goku lost in the end, Beerus instead spared Earth. And thanks to Goku now gaining the Super Saiyan God form, he became capable of facing off against enemies much stronger than he had previously been able to face, such as Golden Frieza and Zamasu.
Broly[]
- As Cheelai wished, he sent Broly back to Planet Vampa before Gogeta could use Ultimate Kamehameha to kill him. And since Gogeta had already defeated Broly, fatality wasn't neccsary.
Super Hero[]
- Granting Piccolo's wish for the latter to be able to unlock his latent potential, along with giving Piccolo the ability enter his Orange form (something that was crucial in defeating Cell Max).
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- All of his heroic deeds done out of granting wishes to the heroes who gathered his dragon balls, effectively making him a hero by proxy. This is too much for even NPG.
- He's just as likely to aid villains who have successfully gathered the Dragon Balls and summon him.
- He granted King Piccolo's wish to become young again, leading him to become even more powerful and dangerous than before and temporarily taking over the world.
- He granted Gomah's wish to turn Goku and his friends back into children, which was not only shown to be extremely painful for them, but also kickstarted the events of Dragon Ball Daima.
- He granted Sorbet's wish to bring Frieza back to life, an event that resulted in Earth being temporarily destroyed.
- He can be jerkish when the people who summoned him take a long time to decide on a wish, saying that he has no time to waste actually when he will be inactive for one year.
