- Mourning for Vegapunk after he couldn't save him.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Despite his overall honorable nature, he's WAY too perverted to be Near Pure Good. (His perverted actions are slightly worse in the anime version.)
- This is partly based on the chivalry he learned from Zeff as well as his love for his mother, which slightly lessens this corrupting factor as it arose from a good place, though he still has numerous moments of inappropriate and womanizing behavior toward women, mainly toward Nami and Robin.
- He also had sexual motives in searching for the Clear-Clear Fruit to spy on undressed women. However, this was when he was a child, and he may have grown out of this.
- In one instance, he asked Nami if they could buy a slave at the Sabaody slave auction in addition to Camie because of the other slave's looks.
- He can act like a jerk a lot of the time, especially towards his crewmate, Zoro (whom Sanji always calls "Moss-head"). Though, this has lessened as of recent chapters.
- He angrily told Jinbei to kill himself when he expressed remorse for what Arlong did to Nami and Cocoyashi Village. While it can be attributed to his chivalry, it was still excessive.
- In the Punk Hazard arc, even though he decided to leave the children who would be experimented on by Caesar initially because he thought he was a legitimate doctor, after deciding to help them at the behest of Nami, he told them that he hated them because of putting Nami in danger. Though, he did still help them, making this minor.
- He also has jealousy issues, such as when he found out about Luffy's close relationship with the all-female Kuja tribe, or when Scopper Gaban, at Elbaph, explained that Zoro possessed the rare Supreme King Haki, a power that Sanji himself does not have.
