Sal Fisher is the titular main protagonist of the 2016 video game Sally Face.
He is a teenage boy, who has a tragic past years before the events of the game, where he and his father Henry Fisher later moved to Addison Apartments in the American town of Nockfell. However, his ideal peace is later shattered, when he is forced to uncover the mysterious happenings around the apartment and subsequently the entire town, as a whole.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Sal Admirable?[]
- Sal uncovers the existence of the ghosts of the tenants who once lived in the apartment, including Greg Montague, Stacy Holmes, and Luke Holmes through the Super Gear Boy, whom he later proves it to his best friend and later stepbrother Larry Johnson, as well as others including Todd Morrison.
- He later reveals Mrs. Packerton's suspicious behaviour to Ashley and Larry regarding the extremely foul bologna that is being served on Nockfell High, to which he and his best friend, and later Ashley, find more traces regarding Packerton's involvement with the Devourers, the numerous people that have been kidnapped, deboned, and turned into bologna meat by her, and with Mrs. Packerton who strapped her own husband to his own bed.
- He also stops Mr. Packerton's endless suffering, when he turned off his life support, which was a necessary act that thwarted Mrs. Packerton's possible plan of using him for the Demon's vessel,
- He and Larry later saved Ashley within the Devourer's temple underground.
- He becomes worried, when he later receives unusual replies from Larry, leading him to reach the all-burnt treehouse that Larry used to reside, leading to Sal attempting to destroy the pillars that the Devourers have put within the apartments, with the assistance of Larry.
- He later defeats Terrence Addison's true form inside his room, who is revealed to be the Endless One.
- Even though Sal was falsely later put to execution, despite his convincing testimony regarding the Red-Eyes' infection in the midst of a rigged trial, he was able to warn Ashley regarding it before his death, which sparked her interest to later end the Devourers' hegemonic plan, sometime after his death.
- As a soul, after retrieving the three fragments of Asintmah, a mysterious pyramid, Sal is later resurrected back and merges within Ashley through the wound she created within of her arms that she cut, thereby granting her the Blade of Osiris.
- Along with Larry and Ashley, he has defeated the Red-Eyed Demon, who is now in its form known as The Endless, thus ending the cosmic entity's world hegemony once and for all, as well as the destruction of the Devourers of God and the Phelps Ministry.
What Makes Sal Inconsistent?[]
- Sal is later portrayed as a grey-zoned character during the events of The Trial, as shown that while he is reluctant in accepting Terrence's disturbing offer, he later proceeds to accept it without a word.
- While heroic, who has saved Nockfell and the world from the grips of the Devourers alongside Ashley and Larry, Sal is often known to be cynical and anti-heroic, which later becomes much more evident during the events of The Trial, as he grows less trusting towards everyone.
- Despite being severely reluctant in killing the infected in Addison Apartments, which was an offer from a teenage Terrence Addison after the Endless One's defeat, Sal later decides to accept it and proceeded to kill everyone else inside (including his family), as a desperate but failed attempt to stop the Dark from spreading.
Trivia[]
- Sal is currently the only IA character in the Sally Face series, though Travis Phelps could possibly qualify as well.
