Sabal is a supporting character in the video game Far Cry 4. One of the leaders of the rebel organization Golden Path.

He was voiced by Naveen Andrews.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

  • He, relying on Mohan's life position and idolizing him, believes that Kyrat will have a future only if long-standing traditions are preserved and revered. He defends the interests of all believers, strives for Bhadra to become the next Tarun Matara, fervently believes in Banashur and Kira and that Kira will protect the people from danger.
  • He rescues Ajay from Paul de Pleur's mansion, and brought him to the Golden Path camp, accepting him into his ranks.
  • He ordered Ajay to turn off one of the bell towers near Banapur, from which Pagan conducts his radio propaganda.
  • He ordered Ajay to take Paul de Pleur alive, and release all his prisoners.
  • He actively helped the local population and the soldiers of the Golden Way. He searched the crash sites of planes with royal cargoes in search of medicines and anything useful, works with dhs, believers, militias and ordinary people.
  • Balance of Power mission (depends on the player's choice):
    • He ordered Ajay to protect the rebels in the Golden Path camp.
    • He ordered Ajay to destroy opium at the Kira Tea factory and rid Kyrat of this infection.
    • He ordered Ajay to destroy the brick factory in Roshan to stop opium production.
    • He ordered Ajay to capture the Jalendu temple and proclaim Bhadra as the new Tarun Matara.
    • In the end, under his leadership, the Golden Path destroys all the hiding places of the Royal Army and prevents the complete tyranny of Pagan Min.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He is very anti-heroic and uses very extreme methods to fight Pagan Min.
  • He is very lethal, because he always wishes his enemies a cruel and painful death. He, like Amita, also didn't care that Noore was Pagan's colleague against her will, and they still wanted her dead, unlike Ajay.
  • He is a religious fanatic, and wants to preserve the customs of Kyrat, and kill those who disagree with it.
  • He has a very strained relationship with Amita, and they often quarrel and argue. It gets to the point that he, having become the leader of the Golden Path, orders Ajay to kill Amita before dealing with Pagan.
  • After becoming the new ruler of Kyrat, he will perform the rite of initiation of Bhadra into the new Tarun Matara in the Jalendu temple, and then, in her presence, execute Amita's former allies who came to ask Tarun Matara for forgiveness. Thus, he proved that he was no better than Pagan Min.
