NOTE: This article is specifically focused his video game incarnation of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and not Rocket Raccoon in general, where his mainstream counterpart is voted Near Pure Good.

89P13, also known as Rocket, is a major character in the science fiction adventure video game Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. He is a raccoon like alien who was genetically altered by Kree scientists during the galactic war. Years acter escaping his creators, he joined the heroes-for-hire group the Guardians of the Galaxy.

He was voiced by Alex Weiner.

His Goodness Zone[]

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

  • He tried to help Lyla, one of the Kree's other creations, escape.
  • He saved Groot from the Collector.
  • He told Peter Quill to reassure Groot that they wouldn't be found by the Nove Corps during their mission in the Quarantine Zone.
  • He expressed fear when he thought Groot had fallen to his death, showing clear care for the tree.
  • When Groot wanted to sell himself to Lady Hellbender and have the Guardians break him out, Rocket refused to allow this and instead offered himself.
  • He helped get Drax to Adam Warlock so the latter could heal him.
  • He fought Fin Fang Foom with the guardians so they could give him to Hellbender in exchange for her alligance.
  • He had Peter's Walkman play music in order to distract the Church, which was vital to their defeat. This allows him to stand out amongst the other Guardians.
  • He helped defeat both Raker and Magus.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He has a lot of jerkish moments, even late game (insulting Peter's music, claiming the Millano is his ship, ect.)
  • He was apathetic to the fact that Nikki and Kor El had presumably died.
  • While he does get more heroic as the game goes on, he still commits several crimes across the game, such as breaking into the Quarentine Zone.
  • He recklessly got into a fight over the Soul Stone with Peter, which lead to Magus' release. Unlike Peter, he never shows remorse for this.
    • He even lied about releasing him to the Guardians. While he didn't know how dangerous Magus was, it was still rather cowardly.

Trivia[]

  • He and Star-Lord are so far the only Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy characters to be Inconsistently Admirable.
