His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- Repeatedly rejecting Ansem's attempts to get him to embrace darkness, albeit later giving in to it.
- Even while working for Maleficent, he was still the most merciful and moral of her subordinates with his true motive being to rescue Kairi rather than to take over the world like the other members.
- Offering Sora to help him rescue Kairi (albeit by joining him in Maleficent's group).
- Working as hard as he could to find Kairi's heart and return it to her.
- Helping Sora close the door to the Realm of Darkness at the cost of trapping himself in the Realm of Darkness, asking Sora to look after Kairi as his final request to him before the door closed.
- Out of regret for his previous actions when he worked for Maleficent, he spends a majority of Chain of Memories refraining from using any form of darkness at all costs.
- He was shocked and upset upon learning that the mission he was aiming to accomplish would eventually cause both Roxas and Xion to cease to exist in 358/2 Days.
- While initially refusing to use his dark powers, he was eventually able to accept that he could still use said powers for good rather than bad, resulting in him being able to increase his strength as a result.
- Keeping his dark side under control in order to prevent it from posing a threat to Sora, Kairi, and his other friends after learning how to control it.
- Helped King Mickey realize that not all darkness was necessarily evil.
- Helped defeat Master Xehanort and stopped him from remolding the multiverse to fit his image (which would've had him creating an overall new universe where light and darkness are albeit more balanced that he would rule over).
- After Sora became trapped in Quadratum after sacrificing his heart, he dedicated himself to trying to save him and refused to give up until he did.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- His envy towards Sora combined with him believing that he had abandoned both him and Kairi for his new friends caused him to embrace the forces of darkness and join Maleficent's group, albeit later redeeming himself and being struck with intense remorse for his actions.
- Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days also has him serving as a main antagonist, albeit with good intentions as well.
