Reimu Hakurei is the main protagonist of the animesque bullet hell shoot-em-up video game franchise, Touhou Project. She is the maiden of the Hakurei Shrine who's duty is to investigate and solve numerous predicaments caused by youkai throughout the world of Gensokyo.

- She eventually did make it her goal to create peace in Gensokyo that didn't require violence to achieve.
- While she is no stranger to attacking Youkai unprovoked, she still goes out of her way to protect innocent humans from bring attacked by hostile Youkai when the time calls for it.
- Serving as the protector of Gensokyo who always goes out of her way to put an end to any kind of threat that it faced.

- Venturing into the Netherworld to find and rescue Spring after Winter had not come to an end when it should've and getting rid of the red mist covering the sky of Gensokyo in Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil.

What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She is far too lethal and ruthless towards her enemies to qualify as PG or NPG. While her village does hold her in such a high regard because of her reputation as a merciless youkai-exterminator and stopping her practices would likely mean losing her respect from them, she still often shows little to no sympathy towards the youkai she is sent to dispose of. Additionally, this is supplemented by the infamous incident where she brutally killed a man who was attempting to become a youkai in Chapter 25 of Forbidden Scollery. She'll even often go out of her way to engage in fights with youkai who she suspects of committing acts such as stealing even if she has no proof. This is to the point where she willingly battled Byakuren over pure annoyance.
- Typically, she goes out of her routine to help people primarily out of duty. While this is not to a massive degree, it still makes her an anti-hero (as well as a borderline hero by proxy).
- She is a jerk much of the time, as she tends to insult other people over minor mistakes and has a lazy and greedy personality overall.
