The Reaper is the anti-heroic main protagonist of the 2016 video game Deadbolt. He is an undead, who is sent on a one-man campaign, with the order of his superior, only known as the Flames, to deal with the undead uprising in the city and find out the people responsible for it, as well as their plans.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

  • Stopped Puff and Roland, as well as burning their Ash caches.
  • Stopped the 1000 Year Royals, uncovered the true plans behind the production of the Ash, and killed Evelyn and Amber, as well as Madam Stela, ending the vampiric organisation to its knees.
  • Uncovered corpses of the members of the Zombie Kingz and 1000 Year Royals, which later turned out to be used for the Corpse Portal made by Ibzan, alongside with the Ash drug to be used.
  • Stopped Timur the Tinkerer and Vall, as well as uncovering Ibzan's plans of using the Corpse Portal, with Ibzan using it to travel to the Land of Warmth to kill the Flames, out of revenge for his master's betrayal.
  • Stopped Ibzan and his army in the Land of the Warmth, and later killed the former reaper out of sympathy rather than by impulse, making Ibzan's death at the hands of the current reaper arguably sympathetic.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • The Reaper is incredibly lethal to begin with, as all of his methods of dealing the undead throughout the game are considered to be violent and vicious for NPG.
  • He is grey-zoned, since while he fights against the army of undead and stop Ibzan and his subordinates' plans from coming into fruition, under the direction of his superior the Flames. It is soon revealed that the Reaper's main target is a tragic anti-villain who was betrayed by his former master in the past, which led to Ibzan's descent into villainy.

Trivia[]

  • The Reaper is the only character in Deadbolt that is Inconsistently Admirable.
