Rainbow Dash is one of the six deuteragonists of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She is a female Pegasus pony who maintains the weather and clear the skies in Ponyville. As a huge fan of Wonderbolts, she was dreamed of joining the group and have her dreams come true. Both Rarity and Princess Celestia declared her to be the best flier in Equestria. She has a pet tortoise named Tank. As the member of Mane Six, she represents the element of loyalty.
She was voiced by Ashleigh Ball.

Background[]
- Defend Fluttershy from being bullied by three Pegasi bullies and challenged them for a race in order to make them stop.
- During the race against the bullies, she created her own first sonic rainboom, which causing her to became responsible for herself and her future friends to received their own cutie marks in the first place. Later as they grown up, her friends later began to realize after finding out she's the one who did this and happily praised her for it.
Season 1[]
- She and Fluttershy saved Twilight from falling off a cliff.
- Choosing her friends than joining the Shadowbolts in order to help them cross the bridge.
- She and her friends defeated Nightmare Moon with the Elements of Harmony.
- Realized how rude and mean-spirited Gilda is, she turned back on her for her treatment towards everypony, including Pinkie.
- When Twilight asked if her friends hated her like they did with Trixie, Rainbow Dash praised her for saving Ponyville from Ursa Minor and dismissed Trixie as a loudmouth.

- Decided to give up being a Wonderbolt in order to avoid being involved in their "recklessness".
- Helped Applejack and the rest of Mane Six to make a fake situation where Applejack was in danger so Spike would think he did his Noble Dragon code.

But when Twilight and Applejack pointed out how what she did as just hurt her feelings, Rainbow became dejectedly gave up and admitted that they're right. Later, she made amends with Pinkie for her dishonesty.

What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She has too many corrupting factors to become PG or NPG:
- She can be very arrogant as she a lot of the time brags about how awesome she is and thinks very highly of herself. While it is true as she is very cool, it is still arrogance.
- She can be a jerk to her friends a lot of the time, an example is when she made fun of Spike by calling him "lame dragon".
- She is very competitive a lot of the time and always wants to win such as when her and Applejack were trying to win the teacher of the month award.
- She does usually make up for her competitiveness at the end the episode, but then ends up acting this way all over again in another episode, so there’s not much evidence she truly subverted this.
- She can be very wrathful such as when she's taking out on her friends over Tank's hibernation and lost her temper at her parents for supporting her.
- She can be easily reckless and put herself in danger, an example for this is when she attacks a dragon despite her friends' protests even though she and her friends are supposed to convince him to find another place to sleep, causing him to become enraged and attack the ponies.
- She tried stop winter from happening so that Tank would not have to go into hibernation, including sabotage a Cloudsdale weather factory, which was a very selfish thing to do.
- She pulled a lot of pranks on everyone in Ponyville for fun, while also not even realizing that the ponies don't think her pranks are funny (except for Pinkie Pie, though even she eventually began to catch on at the end being worried about the severity of her pranks and helped stop her along with everyone else in Ponyville). The most prominent example is shown in the episode "28 Pranks Later".
- She almost ended her friendship with Rarity despite everything they've been through. However, they do make amends at the end, so this is a minor prevention.
