Lord Raiden is one of the two main protagonists (alongside Liu Kang) of the Mortal Kombat: Titan Trilogy.
He is the god of thunder and is the leader of the defenders of Earthrealm and mentor to Liu Kang and others. His defense of Earthrealm often leads to tragedies and tribulations, often losing those who are dear to him. Eventually, he would appoint Liu Kang as his successor to protect Earthrealm, after becoming a mortal.
He is voiced by Richard Epcar from Mortal Kombat (2011) to Mortal Kombat 11, before he was replaced by Travis Willingham in Mortal Kombat 1.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He can be cold sometimes as he was against rescuing Kitana from execution, scolded Scorpion over his bad decisions, and insensitive words to Cassie over her mother's death (even though he meant to commend her sacrifice).
- After Mortal Kombat X he becomes an Extremist to threats for Earthrealm.
- His torture and decapitation of Shinnok (while well deserved for the latter) are played in a darker and villainous fashion.
- After he is corrupted by the Jinsei, he becomes "Dark Raiden" and becomes violent and angrier.
- He decided to let the Lin Kuei cyberize Kuai Liang when he had a perfect opportunity to save him. (Though it could be argued he was trying to avoid unwanted attention from Shao Kahn.)
- Before past Scorpion can explain himself, Raiden attacks him and was possibly intending on killing him if Liu Kang didn't intervene (though he did apologize and decided to hear him out later).
- In Mortal Kombat X, He toys with Kung Jin by letting Jin beat him to a pulp before revealing to him he's unharmed and holding back.
- He puts too much faith into the Elder Gods despite them rarely helping him with anything and stepping in only when they have no choice but to.
Trivia[]
- His Current Timeline version likely won't be Inconsistently Admirable due to being a humble farmer chosen by Liu Kang to be Earthrealm's champion and so far displaying little to no corrupting qualities.
