The Quartermaster is a supporting character in the Rooster Teeth web cartoon Camp Camp. He is the shady, grumpy and mysterious groundskeeper who works at Camp Campbell, and has been working there for a long time, even back when David, a camp counsellor in the present day, was a kid and attended the camp.

He is voiced by Shannon McCornick, who also voiced Professor Ozpin in RWBY.

What Makes Him Admirable?

• In the episode Quest to Sleepy Peak Peak, he tasks Neil, Nikki, Harrison and Nerris to save the day by stopping a nearby volcano that is on the verge on erupting, endangering the camp.
• In the episode The Quarter-Moon Convergence, he saved the world from an apocalypse with help from Harrison after collecting various things from the forest and making a deal with a weird interdimensional Octopus-like creature to let the world live through another thousand years. He later says to Harrison that there is a later apocalypse that he would stop, asking Harrison if he wants to help.
• In the episode Squirrel Camp, he fights a bunch of squirrels who have taken over the camp in attempt to reclaim the camp.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?

• He can be considered an anti-hero overall for these following corrupting factors:
  • He is grey zoned. He killed the leader of a group of sapient squirrels in order to become their king, starting a conflict between himself and other squirrels, which leads to the camp being taken over in the episode Squirrel Camp. He also ambigously stated that he would betray everyone in camp once the opportunity arises, starting with David.
  • He presumably killed his own Quartersister, and states that he needs to kill two of his other relatives to win a tontine.
  • A lot of the time, he is a jaded jerk. For example, in the episode Quest to Sleepy Peak Peak, when the kids decide to play around instead of actually stop the volcano, he simply shrugs while saying "end times", not caring that multiple people would be endangered by the volcano.
