I am not your boss, I am your KING!
~ Predaking before fighting Darksteel and Skylinx

Predaking is a major antagonist-turned-protagonist in the Aligned Continuity of the Transformers franchise. He was the secondary antagonist of Season 3 of Transformers: Prime and an important Anti-Hero in Predacons Rising.

He was voiced by Peter Mensah.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

  • Even when he was with the Decepticons, he was already a honorable individual who truly wanted to help lead his kind to a better tomorrow and restore the Predacons in the reborn Cybertron.
  • After Ratchet revealed that Megatron had used the Autobots as a ruse in order to destroy the Predacons out of fear and paranoia, Predaking allowed Ratchet to leave and then went on a rampage around the Nemesis to get back at Megatron.
  • He managed to take out most fo Megatron's vehicon forces and then took him head-on, nearly besting the Decepticon leader before Starscream shot him in the back, allowing Megatron to toss him out the airlock.
  • Despite staying on the Nemesis, he chose to not help the Decepticons anymore and didn't fight the Autobots for the Omega Lock.
  • Upon witnsessing the reborn Cybertron, he flew off into the planet to live in peace, finding a burial ground for Predacons.
  • When the Autobots came to ask for his help with two new Predacons they had encountered, Predaking remained cordial to them and only refused to help them because he could not bring himself to forgive them for their part in the destruction of the Predacon kind. Even then, he would eventually help them for the good of the future of all Cybetron.
  • After searching for evidence of the two Predacons and realizing the Autobots had been telling the truth, he chose to get involved in the matter and sent out a signal to draw them out.
  • When the signal gained Unicron's attention, who was now possesing Megatron's corpse, he tried to gain Predaking's loyalty, though he rejected the Chaos Bringer's offer and instead attacked him.
  • He fought Unicron by himself but was subdued and had the burial ground's location extracted from his mind.
  • After encountering Skylinx and Darksteel, he fought them and defeated them to prove his status as leader of the Predacons, getting both of them to follow him.
  • He had the duo assist him in tracking down Shockwave and making him pay for his crimes, only leaving because they realized they would be more useful helping in the final battle against Unicron.
  • He joined the Autobots in the final battle.
  • Despite being pushed into the Well of Sparks, he succeded in slowing down the massive horde of Terrocon Predacons just enough for Optimus Prime to defeat Unicron and imprision his essence, causing the Terrorcons to disintegrate. Predaking's actions allowed the survival of not just Team Prime, but ultimately ensured that new generations would be born and ensured the survival of all Cybertronains.
  • He later tracked down Starscream to Mt. Darkmount to exact his revenge and end him once and for all.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He is a very wrathful and vengeful individual who was a lethally savage fighting style and demolishes everything in his way. During his fight with Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack, he nearly killed them both, crushed Magnus' hand off, and destroyed the discharged Forge of Solus Prime. Later he savagely beat down Ratchet and after redeeming himself turned his wrath to the Decepticons, destroying several Vehicons and attempting to brutally kill Megatron in retribution for his actions. While the Decepticons deserved it for sure, it's still far too violent on Predaking's part and he also doesn't really show remorse for his previous attacks on the Autobots, it's just shown that he respects them now.
  • He has several moments of mischief where he purposefully messed with Starscream on the Nemesis, attacked him for no reason at all and made it hard for him to carry out his orders despite knowing Megatron would punish him for it, and destroyed the ship's communication array just to get Starscream away from him.
  • He has several moments of being a jerk, even after defecting from the Decepticons.
  • He only earned Darksteel and Skylinx's loyalty out of force, brutally beating them down and threathening them to follow him, crowning himself as the King of Predacons.
  • He has no problems with killing his foes, and while some of them deserved it, he still shows a sadistic glee in battle and would have killed Optimus during their duel in the Artic if Megatron hadn't called him back.

Trivia[]

  • He is the second character from the Aligned Continuity to be IA, after Wheeljack.
