Simon Schmidt (mostly known as Player) is the protagonist of the GameToons franchise.
He plays various video games and does good deeds in them. He often invites his friends to play said video games with him and is the most iconic character in the franchise.
He is voiced by K. William Scott.

In General[]
- He is usually selfless, loyal, nice, forgiving, agreeable and caring.
- He is a very sympathetic scapegoat.
Among Us Logic[]
- Resists the urge to kill Mother after she shows him a cute picture of her kids. (Even though killing her would be beneficial as it would bring him one step closer to victory).
- Convinces Noob to play the game with him.
- Sacrifices his win to help Captain win as a Christmas present, thinking he was the imposter.
- Renounces his win that he cheated for to Innersloth, (deciding his friends are more important than winning) showing he is honorable and enjoys being with them.
- Attempts to warn Ria of Novisor sneaking up on her.
- Accepts his destiny to defeat Novisor when he learns the latter is the source of his losing streak and problems.
- Convinces Dr. Doktor to turn against Novisor and redeem himself.
- Advises Captain and Ninja to flee to safety while he holds off Novisor, showing he cares about them.
- When Novisor tries to coerce him into joining him by taunting him over his weaknesses and bragging about having taken everything from him, he quickly turns it down.
- Defeats Novisor (who was too dangerous to be left alive) out of necessity rather than sadism, saving the world from his threat and presumably reviving Aiden, who is Dr. Doktor's son.

- Is remorseful after killing a sheep (which was only done for food) and makes it up to a pig named Eric (whom he later befriends) via carrots.
Friday Night Funkin' Logic[]
- Attempts to save Pico from Baldi, despite the former's repeated assassination attempts.
- Asks Selever for help in finding Ruv and goes to help Girlfriend after the former's refusal.
- Proposes to Girlfriend and impresses her family when she says yes.
- Thanks Sky for saving them from Tricky the clown.
Poppy Playtime Logic[]
- Saves Poppy from her container and befriends her.
- Befriends Huggy and Kissy Missy and accepts them as family.
- Willingly sacrifices the opportunity to be human again to stay in the factory with Kissy, Huggy, and Poppy.
- Does help CatNap & the Smiling Critters in their early appearances.
Squid Game Logic[]
- He is helpful towards Noob in all episodes, implying he loves her.
- Saves her from the other competitors in the dormitory.
- Thanks her for saving his life in Red Light, Green Light.
- Encourages Veteran to follow her advice to let go of the rope, saving the other teammates.
- Goes out of his way to save her from falling (although not doing so would actually be beneficial as it would bring him one step closer to victory) after Veteran knocked her over out of spite, showing he truly cares about her.

- Defeats The Darkness, saving GameToons, his friends, and the entire universe from its threat.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

- Refuses to get Captain a Christmas present despite the latter getting him a PS5 and going into financial ruin.
- Attempts to abuse his friendship with Captain to win a game, (even getting called out by TheGentleman in the process) only failing due to Mr. Cheese challenging him to say Captain's real name out loud.
- Is a jerk to Captain in the 15th episode and even tries to say they are friends at the climax to convince the former to spare him.
- Pins Blue as the villain in Among Us Logic 7, even though he was playing as the impostor.
- Furthermore, he and Veteran make fun of Blue when he joins for seemingly no reason.
- Abuses a mod that he was supposed to use to help the crewmates win easily, (without even bothering to listen to Innersloth's instructions) makes Rose and BDay his servants, and uses it to go on a killing spree instead.
Friday Night Funkin' Logic[]
- He is rather sarcastic to Girlfriend and Daddy Dearest in the first episode.
- Uses Girlfriend as a human shield to hide from Whitty's explosion.
- Acts sly and egotistical during fan signing, even getting called out by Girlfriend.
- Bails on Garcello's body to go to an arcade.
- Angers bob and acts rude to Girlfriend over it.
Minecraft Speedrunner Logic[]
- Kills and burns a whole village by mercilessly rampaging through it and then enters the nether like nothing happened.
