Bowser, often nicknamed Paper Bowser, is the main antagonist of the Paper Mario series. However much like his mainstream version, Paper Bowser has had heroic roles in certain games such as Super Paper Mario where he assists in stopping Count Bleck and later Dimentio, and Paper Mario: The Origami King where he assists in defeating King Olly. And his heroic roles are often more significant and heroic than those of his original counterpart.
Much like his original counterpart, he is voiced by Kenny James.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- He is one of the four chosen ones who stopped Count Bleck and Dimentio from destroying the multiverse.
- He assisted in freeing Tippi from Francis.
- He assists in freeing the Cragnons from slavery.
- Alongside O'Chunks, he saves the other heroes from getting crushed by a roof.
- While he stated that him teaming up with Mario was just so he could rule someday and not to save a bunch of worlds getting destroyed, he changed his mind near the end.
- While he created the black paint, he wasn't trying to use it for evil only wanting to play in the paint with the Toads (even imagining painting his shell).
- While he made his minions attack and steal all the color from Port Prisma, flung the Big Paint Stars far away and planed to paint the whole world with black paint right after it covers him, he was under mind control by the black paint, so these weren't his actions and thus can not be blammed.
- He decides to assist Paper Mario and Olivia in stopping King Olly from his genocidal plans.
- He also seems to not have any bad thoughts about Olivia.
- He gets an airship so Mario and Olivia can reach Peach's castle.
- He ultimately played a crucial role in defeating King Olly, as he encouraged Olivia to continue fighting, and was willing to become empowered for the sake of defeating King Olly in his second form.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is On & Off due to having villainous roles over the years.
- He never felt explicit remorse for any of his villainous acts such as trying to burn the book containing the world of Paper Mario or his scheme of trapping all the Star Spirits.
- He is an anti-hero, as he generally does heroism more so for himself than anyone else.
- He is very wrathful, as when he gets angry, he tends to lash out at everyone around him.
- He is very lethal due to his many times he tried to kill Mario for selfish reasons.
- He has many moments where he comes off as a massive jerk.
- He can be arrogant at times due to underestimating his opponents and overestimating his own abilities.
- He is rather egotistical due to constantly wanting to be called fancy names by his minions and cannot handle when someone criticizes him.
- He is very power hungry due to wanting to take over places.
- He can be rather sadistic at times due to getting enjoyment out of hurting his enemies.

- He is one of two Paper Mario characters to be Inconsistently Admirable alongside Count Bleck. By coincidence, they are also both Inconsistently Heinous.
