| “ | Hey, origami girl! Look at me. I'm Bowser! I breath fire and punch through solid rock sometimes! You think I'm scared of that little twerp? Plus, I mean... I'm raising Junior. You think that's easy? Try parenting a "high-energy" kid with access to a flying car and his own army! Your brother doesn't scare me. | „ |

King Bowser Koopa Sr., often nicknamed Paper Bowser, is the main antagonist of the Paper Mario series.
However, much like his mainstream version, Paper Bowser has had heroic roles in certain games such as Super Paper Mario where he assists in stopping Count Bleck and later Dimentio, and The Origami King where he assists in defeating King Olly, and his heroic roles are often more significant and heroic than those of his aforementioned original counterpart.
Much like his original counterpart, he is voiced by Kenny James.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable ?[]
In General[]
- While he stated that him teaming up with Mario was just so he could rule someday and not to save a bunch of worlds getting destroyed, he changed his mind near the end.
Super Paper Mario[]
- He is one of the four chosen ones who stopped Count Bleck and Dimentio from destroying the multiverse.
- He assisted in freeing Tippi from Francis.
- He assists in freeing the Cragnons from slavery.
- Alongside O'Chunks, he saves the other heroes from getting crushed by a roof.
- After the game ends he joins the hero's for a feast.
Paper Mario: Color Splash[]
- While he created the black paint, he wasn't trying to use it for evil only wanting to play in the paint with the Toads (even imagining painting his shell).
- While he made his minions attack and steal all the color from Port Prisma, flung the Big Paint Stars far away and planed to paint the whole world with black paint right after it covers him, he was under mind control by the black paint, so these weren't his actions and thus can not be blamed.
Paper Mario: The Origami King[]
- He decides to assist Paper Mario and Olivia in stopping King Olly from his genocidal plans.
- He also seems to not have any bad thoughts about Olivia.
- He gets an airship so Mario and Olivia can reach Peach's Castle.
- He ultimately played a crucial role in defeating King Olly, as he encouraged Olivia to continue fighting, and was willing to become empowered for the sake of defeating King Olly in his second form.
What Makes Him Inconsistent ?[]
- He is On & Off, due to having numerous villainous roles over the years and never feeling explicit remorse for any of his villainous acts such as his scheme of trapping all the Star Spirits, trying to steal the Crystal Stars to rule the world working with his mainstream counterpart to enslave a large group of Toads.
- Even in his heroic roles, he is an Anti-Hero who he generally does heroism more so for himself than others, and has many moments where he comes off as a massive jerk.
- He is very wrathful, tending to lash out at everyone around him. It doesn't help that he often does this purely out of impatience.
- He can also be fairly lethal and sadistic due to his many times he tried to kill Mario for selfish reasons.
- He can be arrogant at times due to underestimating his opponents and overestimating his own abilities.
- He is rather egotistical due to constantly wanting to be called fancy names by his minions and cannot handle when someone criticizes him.
Trivia[]
- He is one of two Paper Mario characters to be Inconsistently Admirable alongside Count Bleck.
- While he is a Inconsistently Admirable Villainous Benchmark, his mainstream counterpart is a Inconsistently Heinous Heroic Benchmark.
- Ironically, both Bowsers used to be both Inconsistently Heinous and Inconsistently Admirable at the same time.
