| ~ Panda Bear |
Panda Bear is one of the three titular main protagonists (alongside his brothers, Grizz Bear and Ice Bear) of Cartoon Network's We Bare Bears franchise.
Panda Bear is the middle brother of the three bears and, as stated by Grizzly, is "the link that holds them all, together." He is Charlie's best friend, but he does not desire to admit it himself.
Panda Bear was voiced by Bobby Moynihan as adult, who also voices Albert from the film that has the same name, Mel in The Secret Life of Pets, Chet Alexander in Monsters University, and Louie Duck in the 2017 reboot of DuckTales and Duncan Joiner & Max Mitchell as cub. In We Baby Bears, he is voiced by Amari McCoy, who also voiced Becca from Ernesto's Manifesto.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- During a hike, he indirectly intimidated a pack of vicious wolves, and later that night, he engaged in a stacking battle with them to prove who is the Alpha.
- He saved Clifford from dying of a peanut allergy, risking his own life to the allergy in the process.
- He volunteered to be Lucy's dance partner at the dance contest to win a new produce truck.
- Panda Bear, Grizz and Ice Bear assisted in protecting a large family of rabbits against a flock of invading crows when they were cubs.
- As a cub, Panda exposed Dave's true psychopathic and perverted nature to Karla by revealing his journal, shattering all of Dave's sabotages and plans to win Karla's heart.
- When he and his brothers were heading straight towards the sun, he sacrificed himself to save them. Even though it was not real, this still shows he is willing to sacrifice himself for his brothers.
- As a cub, Panda rescued Grizz Bear from the heinous principal in Teacher's Pet, who is infamous for locking children in there for hours, the principal making them write on the chalkboard repeatedly and he watches until they become chalk themselves, leading to their possible deaths even in their childhood, thus saving Grizz from becoming chalk himself.
- Although he lashed out at Grizz and Ice Bear while the trio were on the run from Agent Trout, berating them for what the two had put him through and eventually harming their feelings by stating that they are not brothers, Panda makes up for and subverts himself from such in the movie's climax by being the first one to reprise the promise of him, Grizz and Ice Bear being "bros for life" while he and his brothers recover from their injuries from the forest fire after saving Agent Trout's imprisoned bears from it.
- Panda Bear, alongside Grizz and Ice Bear, defeated Agent Trout, thus leading to the latter's deserved imprisonment, and assisted in saving dozens of Agent Trout's imprisoned and endangered bears from a raging forest fire.
- Overall, Panda Bear has managed to pass the baseline with enough admirable actions, even with less resources at his disposal than Grizz and Ice Bear, who have done more admirable deeds than him.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- While he has subverted his corrupting factors, Panda is consistently shown to be an arrogant jerk and performs actions for his own benefits, such as when he became heavily envious of Lucy bonding with his brothers more than him, which led to him going as far as to lock Grizz and Ice Bear in the closet just so he could have dinner with her, and when he became jealous of Grizz and Ice Bear's new cell phones and tried to conceal the devices from them.
- He can be lethal, as seen when he attempted to destroy the city and the people in it who have unfair treatment towards Panda after he got new special braces that gave him a superpower and subsequently became a supervillain, known as Pandaro the Powerful, although Pandaro is only an alter-ego of Panda, so this is justifiable.
