Orbot and Cubot are the secondary antagonists of the Sonic Boom series. They are a duo of robotic lackeys assisting Dr. Eggman in his schemes to destroy Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends and take over Seaside Island.
Orbot is voiced by Kirk Thornton and Cubot is voiced by Wally Wingert respectively.
Their Good Ranking[]
What Makes Them Admirable?[]
- Even though they serve Dr. Eggman, they tend to remain affable to almost everyone, including Team Sonic.
- They genuinely care for certain people, including each other and their master.
- When Sonic's friends, brainwashed by Dr. Eggman's evil cookies, started a rampage in his lair, Orbot warned Sonic about what happened so that he could put a stop to it.
- They tried to collect money to bail Dr. Eggman out of jail and attempted to con Amy out of the money she was planning to donate to charity for this purpose but had a change of heart and instead gave her their money. Eventually they chose to break Dr. Eggman out of prison, but it turned out the prisoner was Willy Walrus.
- After discovering that Nominatus was evil and plotting against Dr. Eggman, they went to his lair to warn him, even though they had quit his service by that point.
- After being transported into cyberspace by Tails and Dr. Eggman, they searched for Nominatus to stop him from eliminating all life forms.
- Though they were too scared to fight Nominatus directly, they managed to short-circuit and defeat him by trying to solve the matter with an illogical game of "rock-donut-thursday", deactivating all robots he was controlling.
- While it can be argued that them defeating Nominatus was done purely out of pragmatism, it's not confirmed and in fact may not be the case, since they were worried about Nominatus' threat to others even before he targeted them, and since they didn't qualify as life forms, they were possibly exempt from his extermination plan. Though it's debatable how voluntary their participation in the fight against the villain was, they still express satisfaction from defeating him.
- In "The Evil Dr. Orbot", Cubot rebooted "Dr. Orbot" back to his normal persona, stopping him from being a bigger threat than Dr. Eggman.
- They helped Team Sonic and Dr. Eggman escape the latter's lair before it blew up.
- They assisted Vector in searching for Dr. Eggman and Lord Eggman to save the universe from destruction.
What Makes Them Inconsistent?[]
- They are On & Off, as they remain villainous and assist Dr. Eggman in his evil schemes most of the time.
- They can act as jerks at times and have moments of arrogance as well.
- Due to their stupidity, they are largely incompetent. In fact, even them defeating Nominatus was little more than dumb luck.
Trivia[]
- Orbot and Cubot alongside Dr. Eggman are currently the only Sonic Boom Inconsistently Admirables to be non-heroes.
