Inconsistently Admirable Wiki

Mystique is a secondary character in the animated series Wolverine and the X-Men. She is a mutant who can shapeshift and is one of Magneto's accomplices. It is later revealed that she had a romantic relationship with Wolverine in the past.

She was voiced by Tamara Bernier.

Her Good Ranking[]

What Makes Her Admirable?[]

  • Once upon a time, she was part of Weapon X, along with Wolverine. She genuinely loved Wolverine, and he loved her, which had a profound impact on him and made him more human. This allowed him to save Mystique from experimentation and then let her escape while he held back Sabretooth. Although Mystique herself ran away sadly, as she did not want to leave Logan behind.
  • Although she had joined Magneto, she still had good intentions, as she believed that he was doing everything for the benefit of the mutants and protecting their rights.
  • She summoned Logan to make a deal with him and help him save Maverick and his daughter, Kristie, from Weapon X's torturous experiments. As she stated, she was doing this not only because these people were a hindrance to Magneto, but also for personal reasons. She also insisted that Logan allow her to assist him.
  • She helped Wolverine fight off enemy planes by piloting their plane while Wolverine dealt with their enemies.
  • She saved Logan from Sabretooth by stunning the latter, despite Wolverine's instructions for her to run away and not interfere in their battle.
  • In the end, she played an important role in saving Maverick and Kristie from Weapon X, as well as destroying their laboratory, thus preventing their cruel experiments.
  • As she left Wolverine again, she sadly confessed to him that she had always loved him, and it pained her to realize that he was no longer the man she had loved, and that he would never be again.

What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]

  • She is On & Off, as she has committed many questionable acts throughout history, including helping Magneto destroy Genosha and starting a war with humanity.
  • She is a supporter of Magneto, which means she is a clear opponent of the X-Men, because despite her good intentions to protect the mutant race, she still uses questionable methods to achieve her goal.
