Victor Fries, better known as Mr. Freeze, is a recurring antagonist in the DC Animated Universe, serving as a minor antagonist in Batman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures and Batman Beyond. He also serves as the titular main antagonist of the 1998 film Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero.
He is a former Gothcorp scientist, who upon discovering his wife, Nora, was fatally ill, was forced to cryogenically preserve her until he could find a cure. When his employer retaliated, Fries was subjected to a chemicals that altered his genetic makeup so that he would require sub zero temperatures to survive, becoming Mr. Freeze and setting himself into either curing his wife or making everyone's life miserable, coming across Batman several times.
He was voiced by the late Michael Ansara.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- Tried to save Nora from her sickness.
- Released Batman and Robin from captivity after the former made him see what Nora would think of him working with someone like Grant Walker.
- Destroyed Walker's theme park Oceania and stopped him from freezing most of the world.
- Tried to stop anyone in Oceania from being killed by telling them to evacuate.
- Adopted an orphan boy named Koonak and treated him like his son.
- Established a charity in his wife's name to honor her.
- Let a man whose family he'd hurt in the past go.
- Saved a kitten from being hit by an oncoming train.
- Erected a wall of ice between himself and Terry McGinnis to stop him getting himself killed trying to rescue him.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is a villain in most of his appearances, doing things like abusing his henchmen, endangering innocents and trying to kill Alfred.
- While he tries to redeem himself in "Meltdown" he ultimately goes back to villainy which shows he isn't incorruptible.
