Yu Takeyama, known more commonly by her hero name Mount Lady. is a major supporting character from the anime/manga series My Hero Academia. Her quirk is called Gigantification, which allows her to grow to a massive size.
She is known for her flashy, media-savvy personality and initially comes across as self-centered, often seeking the spotlight. Despite her vanity, she proves to be a capable and determined hero, playing key roles in significant battles, including the Paranormal Liberation War.
She is voiced by Kaori Nazuka in the anime, and by Jamie Marchi in its English Dub.
Her Good Ranking[]
What Makes Her Admirable?[]
Entrance Exam Arc[]
- She made her public debut by helping Pro Hero Kamui Woods defeat a giant villain that was destroying a railway. Although, she stole the spotlight from Kamui Woods.
- She attempted to assist other Pro Heroes take down the Sludge Villain. And despite not being able to (due to being too large to fit in between the buildings) she still protected civilians, specifically shielding them from the shockwaves of All Might's attack.
- She helped gather remnants of the Sludge Villain post-incident.
U.S.J. Arc[]
- She tried to stop Habit Headgear from holding a family hostage.
Sports Festival Arc[]
- She assisted patrol duty during the festival alongside Kamui Woods and Death Arms.
Hideout Raid Arc[]

- She fought and restrained various Nomu alongside Kamui Woods, Best Jeanist, and Gang Orca.
- She protected Izuku and the others by using her Titan Cliff move to block an attack, though she sustained injuries and lost consciousness.
Remedial Course Arc[]
- She, alongside Kamui Woods and Edgeshot, formed their own Pro Hero team named "The Lurkers".
Endeavor Agency Arc[]
- She co-taught Class 1-A about interacting with the media and using their quirks to inspire hope, though she was unimpressed by some students' performances.
- Alongside The Lurkers, she mentored Class 1-A students during their field training.
My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission[]
- She helped save millions of lives by locating and neutralizing a Trigger Bomb in Egypt.
Paranormal Liberation War Arc[]

- She played a critical role in holding back Gigantomachia, helping the students sedate him. Despite sustaining injuries, she continued to fight.
My Hero Academia: You're Next![]

Final War Arc[]
- Despite the scars and trauma she endured from the previous war, she continued to fight on.
- She joined the other heroes in in confronting All for One and surviving a trap set by him. She remained determined to bring the fight to him, despite the loss of hope among many heroes.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She is generally arrogant, egoistical and selfish. Although she defeated the Giant Villain in her debut, it was primarily to steal credit from Kamui Woods. She likely enjoys the attention she receives and is willing to start a fight when offended, such as when someone mentions her age, which led to a confrontation with Midnight on live television. While she matures over time, she never apologizes for those moments, despite showing some ability to empathize, as seen in her thoughts about what the students of Class 1A have been through.
- She has moments of acting jerkish or snappy when she is seen arguing with Midnight during her rivalry with her.
- She may be a bit perverted but is mostly shameless about her appearance, flaunting her large rear to attract attention from the paparazzi. For example, she used her body to get free takoyaki from a vendor and seems to have an attractive interest in Todoroki, who is still a teenager. However, she is relatively tame compared to Midnight in this regard.
- Even after she matured, she didn't take her duty as a role model for her interns seriously, with Mineta being the only one assigned to her. Instead of guiding him in heroism or learning from her, she made him do chores while she lazed around. Additionally, there are implications that she did something so severe it traumatized Mineta, causing him to fear her.
- She can be vengeful and quick to anger, as demonstrated when she attacked Geten with full force.
