Motomo is the main protagonist of Rethilor: A War of Sins and Virtues. He was a wanted theif, who ended up washed up on Rethilor’s shores. He was originally very morally questionable, but later changed his ways, and saved the world.
His Good Ranking[]
What makes him Admirable?[]
- He recovered stolen materials from a goblins den, even deciding not to sell it for more cash.
- He helped fight for Dragon Valley when the sins attacked it, helping the dragon riders escape and find shelter.
- He comforted Humility about Chastity’s death.
- Overtime, he gave up his greedy ways and became more selfless. He also became less egotistical, and stopped stealing for good.
- He offered shelter to anyone who survived Pride’s latest genocide.
- Upon finding out that Humility was his late sister, he was extremely happy to he his sister again, and apologised for acting more corrupt in the past.
- He and Zoeflare saved Malthus from the sins.
- He kills Lust, saving Kindness in the process.
- He helps Malthus send Wrath into space.
- He takes the biggest risk out of everyone. He attacks the heaven’s core, causing a shockwave, which knocks Pride over, causing his necklace to be exposed. He then destroys the necklace, which causes Pride to melt, ending his reign of terror for good, and saving the world.
- After the ending, he stays on Rethilor as a guardian.
- While Motomo starts off as an egotistical, greedy jackass with a short temper who is only interested in getting stronger, as the story goes along, he gets less egotistical and wrathful, and stops being so greedy. He also abandoned his quest for fame and respect entirely, as it is shown that his time on Rethilor mellowed him out.
What makes him Inconsistent?[]
- He killed a Goblin simply for laughing at him.
- While he does subvert some of his corrupting qualities, such as his greed and being a thief, he still retains some slight arrogance and jerk moments, so we don’t really know how much he has subverted, giving him an issue qualifying for NPG, due to his ambiguous it is.
- He is lethal, as he is shown to kill without hesitation or regret, and he even killed some demons that would’ve been good to interrogate instead, even if they weren’t complying.
- He taunts his enemies a lot, and brags in combat too.
- He is pretty Wrathful sometimes.
