Morax, also known as the Geo Archon, Rex Lapis, the Exuvia, the God of Contracts, the Lord of Geo, and currently Zhongli, is one of the main protagonists and playable characters of the 2020 action role-playing fantasy video game Genshin Impact. He is the deuteragonist of Chapter I of the Archon Quests, the main protagonist of his Story Quest, and the final protagonist of the second Interlude Chapter act, Perilous Trail.
He was voiced by Peng Bo in Chinese, Tomoaki Maeno in Japanese, Pyo Yeong-jae in Korean, and Keith Silverstein in English.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- He is a benevolent deity who defended all Liyue from evil rogue deities for thousands of years.
- Saved Xiao from his abusive master who had him perform evil acts on his behalf and slaying the master for good reason, putting him under his tutelage as one of the five Yaksha he hired to clear the remains of fallen gods
- He feels bad at having to seal Azhdaha because erosion took a severe toll on his mind, and he was already planning to retire from his position as Geo Archon due to its effects.
- He spares Wanyan by letting her learn the truth of Havria in his Story Quest despite her breaking her contract. Although it break her heart, it's for her own good because Wanyan will eventually come to term with it.
- In the Archon Quest, he had the Liyue Qixing prepare for his retirement by helping Tartaglia unseal Osial and would be stepping in if things get out of hand
- He hands the Geo Gnosis to Signora knowing that the Tsaritsa wants to use it to rebel against the Heavenly Principles.
- He saved Xiao when he tries sacrifice himself at the Chasm and from falling in the darkness.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- While he is planning to retire from his role as the archon and motivating the Qixing to handle Osial without him, he is a well intentioned extremist who aided and helped a villain named Ajax with summoning Osial to endanger all of Liyue Harbor and lacks any visible remorse for this, even though he hide the truth of it from Liyue’s people and lets them pin the blame entirely on the Fatui.
- This also indirectly cause Fatui agents who helped Liyue to combat abyss corruption in Chasm who's know nothing about the plan to become enemies to Liyue Government. The entrance to Chasm was sealed until the Traveler intervened, and without food supply, most of them will likely starve to death unless they can find a way to leave a Chasm without get capture by Millelith.
