Miles Prower, more commonly known as Tails the Fox, is the deuteragonist of the Sonic Boom series. He is an anthropomorphic two-tailed fox and the best friend and sidekick of Sonic the Hedgehog, serving as Team Sonic's gadgeteer and pilot.

He was voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey.

His Good Ranking[]

Debated Validations[]

  • In "The Evil Dr. Orbot", when Lady Walrus cries that her baby is in trouble yet again, Sonic says that he and his team will get to it later, resulting in Tails not going to rescue the baby. However, since it's unknown if the baby was in serious danger and the team was distracted by a fight with Orbot, it's hard to say if it's corrupting.
  • In "You and I Bee-come One", he briefly falls into villainy after getting fused with a Bee Bot and considering himself superior to his old self. However, given the Bee Bots' hive mind was persuading him to join them and him not remembering anything after he and the Bee Bot are unfused, this calls his moral agency into question.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

In the games[]

  • Traveled back in time and got the map to the Chaos Crystals.
  • Helped draw Lyric and Eggman away from Bygone Island.
  • Defeated Lyric with the rest of the team, saving organic life on Earth from extermination.
  • Joined Sonic in rescuing Amy from Lyric.
  • Closed the fissures created by Eggman's Ragnium mining, saving the world in the process.

In the comics[]

  • Searched for Amy's hammer when it got lost.
  • Helped Eggman operate carnival rides, and later saved the visitors from his wrath.
  • Saved Sonic from falling to his death.

In the TV series[]

  • Saved Sonic from drowning in a lake.
  • Surrendered himself to Eggman to free his robot, but made sure his friends came to rescue him.
  • Saved Amy from becoming Eggman's decorator slave.
  • Tricked Dave and Eggman into overclocking their doomsday devices to stop them from destroying the world, and later provided Sonic with a reverse polarizer to destroy the resulting black hole before it consumed all of existence.
  • Saved the Gogobas from bandits.
  • Saved the rest of the team from T. W. Barker's clutches.
  • Spoke in Sonic's defense during the trial.
  • Deactivated Eggman's tomato sauce cans.
  • Fought Nominatus' forces to help Orbot and Cubot defeat him.
  • Saved Sticks from Froglodytes and locked the tribe back in their cave.
  • Used Eggman's tech to send Mirror Dimension Knuckles back into his universe.
  • Protected Cubot prototypes from Eggman.
  • Saved the women of the village by breaking them free of Justin Beaver's hypnotism.
  • Saved Zooey from Eggman's robot.
  • Freed Sonic from a trap Eggman lured him into.
  • Staged Amy's play to make up for trashing her house.
  • Built a Solar Convergence Device to destroy the asteroid on a crash course with Earth,
  • Assisted Sticks in uncovering Eggman's scheme to steal the village's water.
  • Rescued Sonic from another plane of reality.
  • Created a forcefield to protect the village from Eggman's attacks.
  • Freed Sonic from an Ancient mech suit's corrupting influence.
  • Sacrificed the last known Tomatopotamus 2 cartridge to save FriendBot's life.
  • Helped get the Meroke Crystal and restore power to the village.
  • Fixed a Bee Bot for Amy to keep as a pet.
  • Felt remorse for lying about the Muckfoot's existence and saved Knuckles from T. W. Barker.
  • Destroyed Nominatus' forces.
  • Felt remorse for unknowingly abandoning Hypnobot, but ended up destroying him when he tried to kill Sonic.
  • Saved a police officer from falling in lava.
  • Though he initially enjoyed tormenting Eggman over his fear of ghosts, he almost immediately felt sorry for Eggman after seeing how miserable he became.
  • Looked after Chumley after accidentally injuring his mother.
  • Gave D-Fekt a voice chip to better express himself.
  • Activated Metal Sonic's tracking beacon, allowing Sonic to discover the Eggmen's location and save the universe from destruction.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • Acts arrogant sometimes, as he is known to have taken pride in being smarter than his friends at times. While he sometimes feels remorse for his arrogance, this doesn't always happen.
  • He also has moments of being a jerk, including dismissing his friends' praise as "half-hearted" and mocking Eggman over his cute transformation.
  • Acts mischievous a few times, taking part in Sonic's pranks on Knuckles and Eggman.
  • In "Alone Again, Unnaturally", he puts Sonic through dangerous experiments to see how fast he can go, which results in him getting serious injuries, including breaking his ribs, but doesn't feel remorse for causing this, making him too lethal.

Trivia[]

  • He is the only official version of Miles "Tails" Prower to be Inconsistently Admirable.
