Marvin Marvin, (formerly Mario Mario), is one of the three main protagonists (alongside Jeffy and Junior) of the SML series.
He is a former adventurer, plumber and currently the husband of Rose, the adoptive father of Jeffy, and the older twin brother of Luis (Luigi) and Luis' clone Mama Luigi.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- He saved Peach many times from Bowser in the earliest eras of SML.
- He killed Bowser after he killed Luigi, by summoning Mama Luigi to help him to do so.
- He mourned Mama Luigi's death when he sacrificed himself to save Mario's life.
- He contributes to taking good care of Jeffy and Rosalina themselves.
- He is a caring father and a upstanding individual for his family despite all of the crap they put him through.
- He apologized to Shrek after kicking him out of the house.
- He bailed Rosalina out of jail despite the latter truly not deserving it.
- He prevented Rosalina‘s parents from destroying Earth if they didn’t get a turkey for Thanksgiving, and even though turkeys were made illegal and he knocked out the Brooklyn T Guy before he could shoot up the turkey, he only did all of this for the sake of saving Earth.
- He saved Rose from Froger.
- He mourned Woody when he was thought to have died.
- He gives Jeffy a birthday party and puts up with his shenanigans, every single year. Even when Jeffy annoys Mario to make said event possible.
- He also cares enough for Duggie despite the latter free-loading off of him.
- Despite how obnoxious and unruly Jeffy is, Mario states and claims Jeffy to be the best son ever. Where he went from getting frustrated by his antics, to showcasing the fact he cares for him in the inside.
- He says that he cares for Jeffy despite everything he put him through.
- When Jeffy was thought to have died, he cried over his death and comforts Rose who was sobbing, and when Jeffy was thankfully alive, he said he loves him so much and tells him how he can live at the house for as long as he wants because he can’t imagine life without him because he’s gotten so used to his son that he just wants him and that he said he loves him so much. Something that Jeffy's extremely grateful for, Mario even telling him he loves him too.
- He created Buttercup and Bubbles with Jeffy and When he found out Mojo Jojo killed them he became horrified and comforted Jeffy.
- His most heroic moment is when he encouraged and got Woody to save the world from the giant shrimp coming to earth, being partially responsible for saving billions of people.
- When he found out Brooklyn Guy is having nightmares, Marvin willingly uses a dream machine to enter Brooklyn Guy's dreams to help him fight off the nightmares.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is a massive jerk, often being extremely rude, egotistic and jerkish at times, which goes too far.
- He can cave into greed, jealousy and wrath many times, like the "Rich Mario" episode for example, where Mario makes money off of Goodman's golden bricks he was hiding from the FBI. Another example is in "Marvin's Credit Card Fraud!" Where he committed credit card fraud and spend the credit card on vacation when Goodman gave it to him to take care of is Buttler.
- He can be lethal towards Jeffy at times, despite being a responsible parent.
- He has many moments where he can be a massive pervert, having an unhealthy obsession with hot woman. What makes it worse is that he's already married to Rose (although she's admittedly no better). In "Jeffy's 21st Birthday!", He went to a strip club to celebrate Jeffy's birthday. In "Jeffy's Favorite Show" He is touching a guy in a weird way. In "SML Movie: Jeffy The Fly!" It's heavily implied he has a weird fetish with woman.
- He is rather lazy, as the reason he's poor and can't pay his house payment is because he spends his days sitting on the couch and watching TV while not getting a job.
- He has had once too many moments of being rather incompetent. Especially if it's because of his lack of intelligence at times, or because of being vulnerable to the mean-spirited nature around him that treats Marvin like a punching bag.
- Despite being played for sympathy all the time, to the point diehard SML fans begin rooting for Marvin, he can be a bad father to Jeffy at times, constantly hitting him or calling him stupid. As he used to revel in getting rid of Jeffy, even if it meant offing Jeffy or him getting lost. However, it can be arguably a little understandable, considering the fact how Jeffy causes him trouble mostly without remorse and makes his life miserable.
- He is morally gray and doesn't really care about right from wrong very much. He mostly lazy and sitting on the couch doing nothing most of the time. In "Jeffy Goes To a Diddy Party 2" Brooklyn guy asks Marvin to help him record evidence of a crime and Marvin said ew when he was told he could be doing this for justice.
