Martin Li, better known as Mister Negative, is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Doctor Octopus) of the 2018 video game Marvel's Spider-Man and a major character in its 2023 sequel Marvel's Spider-Man 2. He is the former operator of F.E.A.S.T. and member of the Sinister Six and Miles Morales' former arch-nemesis.
He was voiced by Stephen Oyoung.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
Background[]
- He loves his parents, and everything he does (even his acts of terrorism) were to avenge them.
- Founded F.E.A.S.T., a community shelter for homeless people, which has made a positive impact for many struggling in New York City and helped improve many of their lives.
Marvel's Spider-Man[]
- He cares for Aunt May, as a letter shows that he's genuinely concerned over what she'd think of his hidden nature. He's also saddened over being the indirect cause of her death.
- When Peter hinted he knows about his demon mask, Li tried to influence him to back off at first, not wanting to harm him.
- Even if he resorted to outright terrorism to do so, he does genuinely want to expose Norman for not only killing his parents but also a crook he is.
- After being defeated by Spider-Man for the second time, he willingly handed him the anti serum.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2[]
- Redeemed himself after being defeated by Miles.
- Got Peter's attention so he could tell him where Miles is in order to rescue him from Kraven.
- Helped free Peter from the remains of the Symbiote still left in his body. In doing so, he created a symbiote suit that made him more powerful and prevented him from being corrupted by its influence, meaning Li played a huge part in helping Peter and Miles saving New York from Venom.
- Willingly turned himself in to the police after helping the heroes, wishing to atone for his actions.
- While the Admirable Standards are high, Li stands out for directly giving Peter the extra power he needed to save New York and the world from Venom and Harry.
- After he and Miles saved Spider-Man, he still felt guilty and then tearfully apologizes to both Spider-Men for all of his actions and wrongdoings, especially killing Miles' Father as he spent years of his life consumed with vengeance and lost everything for it as he told them that they reminded him that it's not who he is while at the same time subverting all of his corrupting qualities.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Plain and simple, he’s in the grey zone as despite shedding his negative traits, he killed many people and has committed many unforgivable crimes such as bombing City Hall and attempting to release Devil's Breath on the Grand Central Terminal just to expose Osborn. While he does redeem himself and is genuinely remorseful for what he’s done, his crimes are still far too heinous and unforgivable for him to be PG or NPG. Even Miles, despite dropping his hatred for him, refuses to forgive him for what he did.
