What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is very jerkish and arrogant at the beginning. For example, when he meets Sid, Manny insults him in front of several people, constantly trying to get rid of him, and even after finally becoming friends with him, Manny is quite mischievous towards Sid, teasing him sometimes and can often be stuck-up and unfair with him. Although Manny has rejected some of his corruption factors, he is still too rude at times, especially when dealing with Julian later on.
- He is extremely overprotective with his daughter, Peaches, not wanting her to associate with other mammoths and wanting to prevent her from travelling with her lover Julian. Moreover, Manny was very rude to Julian, despising him at the beginning, and even throwing a puck of hiccups in his face. This also makes him egotistical and self-absorbed at times. Although his reasons are understandable, as he lost his first family and doesn't want to lose his second one and gradually learns his lesson, he can be far too overprotective to Peaches, such as when he embarrassed her in front of her friends.
- Leads indirectly nearly to kill Diego when he picked fruit from a carnivorous plant that locked on them. Even Ellie and Diego warned him ahead of time.
- Sometimes he is too much mischievous.
Trivia[]
- Manny, Granny, along with Crash and Eddie are the only Ice Age heroes to be Inconsistently Admirable.
- Originally, he wasn't considered admirable enough to qualify as Inconsistently Admirable because it was widely assumed that he was too standard. However, upon re-examination, it was revealed that he defeated a Near Pure Evil (Captain Gutt) and saved the world from an asteroid, and those actions allowed him to qualify.
