Mael or Estarossa is an former antagonist turned protagonist in the The Seven Deadly Sins series.
He was voiced by David Vincent in English.
His Good Ranking[]
In General[]
- While he did do heinous crimes as Estarossa he had severe moral agency issues due to him being brainwashed by the Original Gowther's spell and making him an Villain by Proxy because of it and he felt remorse for his actions anyways when he redeemed himself.
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- He protected the Goddess Clan and took part in the Holy War against the Demon Clan in battles.
- After redeeming himself and expelling the Commandments where he felt remorse for his actions, he reincarnates Derieri and Oslo where he killed as Eastarossa where if they seek vengeance when they reincarnated on him he will happily face it.
- Though he hesitated to help out at first he ultimately agreed and listen for Escanor's pleas for help accepting the Grace of Sunshine back and ultimately assisting everyone in the battle against the Original Demon where he used his regained power to overpower him and defeat him.
- He and Ludociel would assist the Seven Deadly Sins in expelling the Demon King out of Meliodas' body where would have a major supporting role in it of him and Ludociel defending the Sins from the Demon King while everyone else go inside Meliodas mind to support him.
- In Grand Cross he saves an villager from an monster in his Unique Unlock Cutscene sometime before the Finale Battle against the Demon King.
- He saves Escanor and the Holy Knights from an Indura and while he reluctant to give back the Sunshine Grace knowing Escanor will die due to overage overtime since it isn't made for humans. He agreed after Escanor accepted the risks where he drops him off to where the Sins are. He would honor Escsnor in his final moments.
- In the Cursed by Light Movie he attempt to make up for himself in the Goddess Realm and when the Supreme Deity attempted to reignite the Holy War, he refused and avoided conflict when she had sent Goddess Warriors to kill him so he don't end up having to kill more than he already did. After chase landed in Liones he would ultimately heal and assist the Liones Holy Knights in defending Liones from the brainwashed Goddesses.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- The biggest reason he can't be PG or NPG is while his crimes as Estarossa can be somewhat excusable as he had moral agency issues, an Villain By Proxy due to the Forbidden Spell and the Commandments meaning it was beyond his control and felt remorse for his actions as Estarossa after redeemed himself when he broke free Gowther's help, but his act of destroying an village full of demon non-combatants while begging for mercy are too severe and corrupting of an act to make him PG or NPG since it was done under his free will unlike his crimes he did as Estarossa, it could be argued it was under the Supreme Deity's orders but he still took some pleasure in though despite it, and while he felt for remorse of it, he didn't do enough to make it up and nullify unlike Zeldris did, but he did enough to stand out for defeating the Original Demon and his supporting roles against the Demon King are enough to be Inconsistently Admirable however.
- He has some multiple corruptions:
- He shown to be arrogant at times.
- He shown to be lethal but is now an minor prevention since redeeming himself.
- He is a bit of an Hero by Proxy due to him being a bit unwillingly to help against the Original Demon and second Demon King fight but agreed to help out after being persuaded by Escanor to fight against the Original Demon and giving the Sunshine Grace back makes it an minor prevention. Though he did willingly help out against the Supreme Deity in assisting Liones Holy Knights however.
Trivia[]
- Mael and Ludociel so far the only Inconsistently Admireble brother duos so far.
- While he may be Inconsistently Admirable as the sequel Four Knights of the Apocalypse is ongoing his status may be challenged if the admirable standards is raised that could demote him to Heroic Benchmark or if he somehow reappears and do more admirable sees he may do enough to make up and nullify his heinous acts qualify as Near Pure Good.
