Kaina Tsutsumi, also know as Lady Nagant, is a major character from the anime/manga series My Hero Academia, serving as the main antagonist of the Dark Hero Arc and a supporting character during the Final War Arc. She was once a highly skilled and respected Pro Hero in Japan. Known for her exceptional marksmanship with her Rifle Quirk, she was admired for her precision and effectiveness.
After being recruited by the Hero Commission for her skills, she became involved in classified missions and would carry out assassination on the corrupt bureau's behalf. After this corruption was uncovered, the Commission feigned ignorance and placed all blame onto Nagant, resulting in her being imprisoned.
After escaping prison, she was offered a deal by All For One to hunt down and bring him the UA High School student and hero Deku.
She is voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki in the anime, and by Erica Lindbeck in its English Dub.
Her Good Ranking[]
What Makes Her Admirable?[]
- Despite the lethal implications of her Rifle Quirk, she became a Pro Hero who was driven by a sense of duty and honor, and who wanted to protect innocent people from harm.
- She redeemed herself after listening to Izuku’s words and agreed to aid him and the other pro heroes in the Final War.
- While escaping prison, she took pity on a disabled Kai Chisaki and rescued him from his cell. She then protected him for no pragmatic reason after they escaped together.
- She initially refused All For One's offer to hunt down Deku, showing genuine reluctance to betray her core values by hunting down an innocent target.
- During the Final War Arc, despite her severe injuries sustained during her fight with Deku, she returned to aid the Pro Heroes in the defeat of All For One and Shigaraki.
- While fighting, she provided support to Deku and expressed her desires to atone for her past.
- After the war was over, she willingly returned to prison in order to observe how society would change from afar, while choosing to reflecting on her past actions and accepting the consequences of her misdeeds even though she was pardoned.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She's both extremely lethal and an extremist hitman to boot. She is willing to kill anyone who gets in her way, especially if they’re a criminal.
