Welcome home, Peter.
~ Kraglin to Star-Lord

Kraglin Obfonteri is a recurring character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He is portrayed by Sean Gunn.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

In General[]

  • While other heroes are more admirable, they have way more resources allowing Kraglin to stand out.
  • Despite not always seeing eye-to-eye with Yondu, he does his best to be a consistent and loyal ally to him.
  • It was his act of breaking out the group and giving Yondu a controller for his arrow that helped get the group to Ego and save Peter.

Background[]

  • He helped Quill make a Christmas tree for a celebration.

Guardians of the Galaxy[]

  • He and the other Ravagers helped fight against Ronan in the fight for Xandar, with Kraglin piloting his ship to fight Necrocrafts.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2[]

  • He defends Yondu from Taserface's insults and always stood up for him when other Ravagers said he'd gone soft.
  • Regrets causing the Ravager mutiny and hopefully asks Nebula if the Kree will execute Yondu.
  • Brings the Yaka Arrow Controller to Yondu and Rocket to help them escape.
  • Sets up the Quadrant and goes to Ego with Yondu and Rocket to save Quill.
  • Warns Yondu about the Sovereign arriving on Ego.
  • Saves the Guardians from Ego's destruction by taking them onboard the Quadrant.

Avengers: Endgame[]

  • Arrived in the Battle of Earth to help fight Thanos and his army.

Thor: Love and Thunder[]

  • Joined the Guardians of the Galaxy and accompanied them in their adventures.
  • Attends the many distress calls caused by Gorr the God Butcher.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special[]

  • Buys Knowhere alongside the other Guardians and begins to rebuild it after Thanos' attack.
  • Helps Mantis throw a Christmas celebration for Quill.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3[]

  • When Adam Warlock attacked Knowhere he tried to aid in the fight by using the Yaka Arrow.
  • Stays behind to monitor Knowhere alongside Cosmo when the Guardians leave to save Rocket's life.
  • Takes all of Knowhere to the High Evolutionary's Arete ship and uses a missile to blast the ship and cause its imminent destruction so that the Guardians can save Nebula, Mantis, and Drax.
  • When the Hellspawn infiltrate Knowhere, he uses the Yaka Arrow to defeat and kill all of them.
  • He helps evacuate the Star Children and the animals held captive in the Arete.
  • He joins the new Guardians under Rocket's leadership and goes to protect some townsfolk from a stampede.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He is too jerkish for NPG. He is very rude to his allies, just like Yondu and Star-Lord.
  • Aided in many of Yondu's crimes, including the child trafficking to Ego. His past crimes got to the point where other clans like Stakar Ogord's considered them dishonorable despite being criminals themselves.
  • Cheers when Yondu nearly kills Quill with his Yaka Arrow.
  • Gets frustrated when Yondu reveals he won't hand the Guardians to Ayesha, and causes a mutiny. Granted, he deeply regretted it and helps Yondu and Rocket escape.
  • After accidentally stabbing Drax with the Yaka Arrow, he promptly ran away and never apologized.
  • He calls Cosmo a bad dog and refuses to take it back, even when everyone was annoyed by his decision. He calls her a good dog when she saves his life, but the fact it went as long as it did really shows some pettiness.
