Konan is a supporting character in the Naruto manga and anime series, serving as a supporting antagonist for most of the series and redeeming herself after Pain's attack on Konoha.
She is voiced by Atsuko Tanaka in the Japanese version, and by Dorothy Elias-Fahn in the English version.

What Makes Her Admirable?[]
- She found a dying Nagato and his dog, after which she rescued him and brought him to her and Yahiko's hideout.
- When the Sannin give her and her friends food, she makes a paper flower to thank them.
- After being left by Jiraiya, she worked to protect the peace for years and founded the original Akatsuki with Yahiko and Nagato, which became very well known and they were even acknowledged in Konohagakure.
- When she was captured by Hanzo, she cried out to Yahiko and Nagato to leave her and save themselves.
- She genuinely cared for Nagato and took care of him in his weakened state.
- She was the most compassionate and empathetic member of Pain's Akatsuki, becoming sad when reminded of her past and reminiscing about her time with Jiraiya and Yahiko.
- During Pain's attack on Konoha, she begged him not to use Shinra Tensei on a massive scale (though this was more out of concern for Nagato than the lives in Konohagakure).
- After Nagato's death and subsequent redemption, she entrusts the quest for peace to Naruto.
- Wraps Nagato's corpse and the Deva Path (made from Yahiko's corpse) in paper so she can take them back to Ame and make a memorial for them.
- Leaves Akatsuki after the attack and gives her support to Naruto, along with the support of all her village.
- Gives Naruto a bouquet of paper flowers to symbolize both a truce and the never ending hope in Naruto. Naruto later used the flowers for Jiraiya's memorial.
- After returning to Ame, she began waiting and planning on a way to defeat Tobi once and for all.
- Set up a trap composed of billions of paper bombs to defeat Tobi.
- Confronted Tobi when he arrives in Ame to take Nagato's Rinnegan.
- Fought Tobi head on to defend Nagato's rinnegan and the hope and light that Naruto gave.
- Nearly defeated Tobi and would have killed him had he not used Izanagi.
- Even after being stabbed by Tobi, she still continues to try and fight him while telling him she would support the bridge on the path to peace.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She was an antagonist for half of her appearances in the series and though she subverts some of her villainous deeds, she still has plenty such as:
- Assisting Nagato with his purge against Hanzo the Salamander's friends and family.
- Her involvement with Akatsuki, during which she contributed to stealing and sealing Tailed Beasts resulting in the death of their jinchuriki.
- Promoting 3 kunoichi to chunin and instantly sending them on an S-Ranked mission, which led to their deaths and Pain using one of the corpses as one of his paths.
- Taking part in the assault against Konoha and attacking Jiraiya when he infiltrates Ame.
Trivia[]
- While she may be Inconsistently Admirable now it may be challenged if the Admirable Standards get raised and could demote her to Heroic Benchmark.
