Klaus Dumont is one of the two main antagonists of the Netflix series Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight. He is a member of the dark mages who originally worked with his sister, Veruca until she eventually left him for dead

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

  • He is genuinely tragic as he and his sister veruca grow up as poor orphans living in the streets of london.
  • He genuinely cared about his fellow mages as he attempted to avenge them when he trought they died and was overjoyed when seeing them alive.
  • While he was a villain in the first two season, he redeemed himself in the third season when he joined the dragon knights and helped them in destroying the Tianshang Weapons.
  • He genuinely loved his sister veruca despite annoying and bullying him at times.
  • Even as a villain, unlike his sister he prefers to take the peaceful way and was less villainous than her.
  • After Veruca gets imprisoned for treason, he spend 15 years looking for her and when he found out where she is, he wasted no time breaking ge out and comforting her.
  • He tried to convice veruca to not take the helmet of the wind as it would cause the mages to starve to death and also to stop her from dropping kyle to his death to no avail.
  • He was genuinely saddened when veruca abandoned him and left him to die by the hands of luthera but instead of acting cowardice or begging for mercy, he accepts his fate and quitely told her to kill her before she spared his life.
  • He saved ping Forouzane when the mages were chasing them.
  • He help them get out of the island with the weapons safely.
  • He crosses the goodness zone for the first time when he brought plants with him to the island so they can grow to food the mages can eat and not starve to death to atone for his mistakes, that also mean that he he stopped them form stealing from ships for food.
  • Despite veruca betraying him, he didn't shed his love as he was sad and mourned her when he sensed her death.
  • He helped the dragon knights by summoning the ancient masters to destroy the weapons and saving the world from destruction, this is his second goodness zone as without him alfie would continue using the weapons and unintentionally causing the world destruction.
  • As confirmed that the show is non canon to the rest of the franchise, his heroic actions is enough for him to stand in the baseline of the show.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He was a villain for most of the show and redeemed himself only at the end.
  • He actually commited a hazy heel turn instead of heel face turn as he only joined the dragon knight to destroy the weapons because he lost everything because of it, not out of any morality or seeing that his actions are wrong.
  • Other than regretting enabling veruca bad habits that resulted on her death and leaving the mages to starve, he didn't feel remorse for any of his past crimes like helping in killing sir alfred, attempting to poisoning the queen of england or trying to take over the world by an army of warriors sealed inside the Tianshang weapons.
  • There wasn't enough screentime to show that he is beyond all of his corrupting qualities.
