~ The quote said whenever Kenny dies. |
Kenneth James "Kenny" McCormick is one of the four main protagonist of the long-running satirical animated show, South Park, and of South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut.
He is a poor, 9 year-old boy fom the fictional city of South Park, who is friends with Eric Cartman, Stan Marsh and Kyle Broflovski. He dies very often as a running gag, but usually comes back to life and no one seems to remember. Despite being one of the series's most heroic characters, specially among the protaognists, he is still an extremly heinous character, though in a played for laughs way.
He is voiced by the series co-creator Matt Stone in his muffled voice and as Mysterion. His unmuffled voice was voiced by the series' producer and animation director Eric Stough in the TV series and in South Park: Bigger, Louder and Uncut his unmuffled voice was voiced by Mike Judge, who also voiced Hank Hill and Beavis and Butt-Head.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- He is very protective towards his younger sister, Karen.
- Cares a lot about his friends and is usually always ready to help them.
- Constantly protects South Park as Mysterion.
- Fixes the hospital's backup generator with himself as a conductor for the broken wires.
- He bought a doll for her sister after spending every single cent he earned from working at City Work.
- Protected his sister from bullies.
- Saved his sister from their abusive stepparents by getting them arrested.
- Stopped Cartman and Satan from causing more destruction.
- Used the Golden PSP to defeat Satan's army, saving Heaven for it.
- He wished to save the world from damnation from Satan instead from asking to be freed from Hell, earning him a spot in Heaven.
- In “Skank Hunt,” he didn't join in smashing up Cartman's stuff, showing how kind and forgiving he is.
- In South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, he went back to hell despite the fact that he can return to normal world in order to undo the damage the war against Canada has caused.
- He sacrificed himself to Cthulhu to save the Coon and Friends from Hell.
- Unlike the rest of his friends, Kenny does not have their arrogance or self-centered attitudes. As Butters himself pointed out, while all of the boys at South Park Elementary were fake and stuck-up, Kenny was the only one with any sense of dignity and honor.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- This is South Park, which never takes itself seriously and uses satirical comedy, as well as giving almost all characters anti-heroic or jerkish qualities for the sake of laughs, and although the series does have messages relating to societal issues, Kenny and the others are far too played for laughs to be NPG or PG.
- He is very perverted, which causes him to make some morally questionable decisions, like attacking Cartman for waking him from his cheesing-induced fantasy in "Major Boobage," and manipulating Tammy into giving him a blow-job through her favorite boy band in "The Ring."
- He can be reckless at times:
- He's responsible for having his teacher being horribly burnt.
- He, along with other boys, threw their lit cigarette into the dumpster to prevent them from getting caught by Mr. Mackey, however as the result the dumpster was ignited and caused the entire school to be burnt down.
- He carelessly threw a ninja star into Butters' eye.
- In spite of his heroism, he's still committed a number of questionable acts, including:
- Falsely accusing his parents of molesting him and getting them arrested in "The Wacky Molestation Adventure."
- Going to great lengths to make his mother abort her new child, and during this getting his father injured, poisoned and gang-raped by NAMBLA (even if he didn't intend this to happen), and even attempting to perform a forceful abortion himself in "Cartman Joins NAMBLA."
- Teaming up with Cartman to have Sarah Jessica Parker killed in "The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs."
- Trying to kill Cartman with a sniper.
Trivia[]
- He, Cartman and Kyle are the only South Park characters to be Inconsistently Admirable.
- Despite being Inconsistently Admirable, he is, ironically, one of, if not the most admirable and heroic South Park character(s) (other than Butters), due to the show's satirical and provocative nature.
