~ Kenny to Lee (determinant) |
“ | Listen, okay? Listen. This is your chance, for you and this boy. I don't trust myself to keep you two save, not anymore. Please, I'm begging you. Please stay here. Stay here where it's save. Where you two will have a chance. Because it's the only way...for both of you. Think about Alvie here. Please, Clem, just...do as I'm askin'...this one last time. You'll meet people...you'll make friends...People better than me...Good people...That don't have to look at you...and feel ashamed at what they've put you through..Please, Clem, please...Where you won't have to sleep with a gun next to you every night...Where you can be a kid for a while... | „ |
~ Kenny attempting to ensure Clementine and Alvin Junior's safety in Wellington (determinant). |
Kenny is the tritagonist of Telltale's The Walking Dead video game series.
While he is known for taking action and showing initiative, his short temper and failure to think things through often get the better of him. However, Kenny is also shown to be kind and selfless as he has been willing to give his life to save someone else's, but can be emotionally unstable towards those who do him wrong, yet he is aware of this and has admitted to be frightened by it.
He was voiced by Gavin Hammon.
His Good Ranking[]

Season One[]
- Before he met with Lee, he saved Duck from a walker.
- Gave Clementine and Lee a ride to Macon, which is Lee's hometown.
- Defended Duck when Larry was trying to kill him.
- Took action in the pharmacy when Larry got a heart attack even after he threatened his son.
- Went back into the drug store to save Lee, regardless if Lee sided with him or not.
- He was the first one to offer help to Ben's group. He also stood up for his group against Lilly and Larry when they speak against it.
- He thanks Lee for feeding the kids even when he doesn't take any food for himself (determinant).

- Stood up to the cannibal group threatening them.

- (If Lee chose to help him kill Larry) Helps Lee take down Danny St. John.
- (If Lee chose to help him kill Larry) Went back to save Lee from the walkers in the remains of the drugstore.
- Saved the rest of the group from the bandits by fleeing them out of the motel.
- Finally comes to terms with Duck's death and stops the train to end his misery.
- Accepts Chuck, Christa, and Omid into their group.
- Helps Lee find Clementine (If Lee brings Kenny) or guard and get the boat working (If Lee doesn't bring Kenny).
- (If Ben is dead) Risks his own life to save Christa by jumping in the walker-infested warehouse through a hole.
- (If Ben is alive) After Ben is impaled to a balcony rung ripped through his stomach, Kenny tried to yank him off the rung before hearing walkers approaching. Seeing it as the only way, Kenny pushed Lee out of the alley if he refused to leave, saying that it's something he's gotta do, and that he needed to find Clementine. He used his last bullet to put a dying Ben out of his misery.
Season Two[]
- When he reunites with Clementine, he lets her and her group into the ski lodge and feeds them dinner. It is then revealed he has been helping other groups of survivors with his friends at the lodge.
- Cares for Clementine regardless of his previous relationship with Lee.
- After Carver's group took the cabin group hostage, Kenny kills Johnny in order to rescue the group from Carver.
- He also attempts to kill Carver, depending on the player's choice.

- Lets the group take a break when he notices Luke's leg getting worse.
- Apologizes to Clementine for snapping at her.

- Saves Arvo from drowning when he had all the reasons to let him.
- He and Jane save Clem when she got shot by Arvo.
- Checks on Jane and makes she's alright after they crash after she insulted his dead family.
- If Clementine decides to leave him after he killed Jane, he accepts her decision and acknowledge he's too dangerous to be around.
- If Clementine decides to follow him to Wellington, he will attempt or succeed in giving up his own safety away in Wellington to make sure Clementine and AJ are safe.
Season Three[]
- (If Clementine stayed with him) After they get into a car crash, he will distract the walkers and allow himself to be devoured so Clem and AJ can escape.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
In General[]
- Can be quite jerkish and insulting towards Lee and other group members at multiple occasions. For instance, he mocks Ben by joking that having him on lookout was like having a sign that says: "The men are gone, come and rape our women and children."
- Makes racist comments sometimes. Examples include calling Lee urban or calling Arvo a commie. One could argue the former was out of ignorance not hate, since he apologized afterwards. The latter however is blatant, and Kenny shows no remorse for his constant physical and verbal abuse of Arvo.
Season One[]
- Leaves Shawn to die on the farm, though he regrets it heavily for the rest of the season.
- Wants to leave Ben in the forest when they needed help.
- Wanted to forcefully take over the St. John's Dairy in case the St. John's themselves weren't all they appeared.
- Smashed Larry's head with a salt lick, believing that he was dead. While he was protecting the group and felt remorse for this, it was a hasty decision that caused a rift between him and Lilly.
- If Lee does not help kill Larry, Kenny will not save Lee from Danny St. John, and in the following episode, he will not save Lee from the walkers in the pharmacy.
- Steals from the Stranger's wagon. While this done was to feed the group, it indirectly led to the deaths of the Stranger's wife and daughter.
- He is willing to leave Lilly behind during the motel attack, although he and his family are saved by her minutes before.
- He attacks Lee when told to stop the train, although in his defense, Lee was insulting him (determinant).
- Is quick to suggest the killing of someone who may or may not turn, but refuses to acknowledge indisputable evidence that Duck would. Though understandable, it remains hypocritical.
- Wanted to kill Ben after he found out about his dealings with the bandits, who indirectly caused his family's death.
- Suggests killing Lee in the attic because of his bite wound.
Season Two[]
- Gets Alvin killed when he refuses to comply with Carver (determinant).
- Blames Clementine for Sarita's death.
- Is constantly abusive to Arvo and beats him to near death when he indirectly gets Luke killed.
- Attempts to, or successfully, murders Jane as he believed she killed the baby. He also violently throws Clem out of the way if she tries to stop him.
