Inconsistently Admirable Wiki

Jonnathan 2x4 (better known as Jonny) is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Rolf) of Cartoon Network's animated series Ed, Edd, n Eddy. He is also known as a bit of a misfit in the Cul-de-Sac, considering how he's a weird kid but he does have good intentions. He's the nicest kid in the Cul-de-Sac who is a friend/member of the Cul-de Sac. He's the happy, level-headed, and most heroic of the six.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

  • Out of all the other kids he was the one who genuinely cares about The Eds.
  • He saved Jimmy from the Kankers.
  • He helped slay the mutants in the sewer.
  • He tried standing up to the Kankers in "Avast Ye Eds".
  • He tried stopping one of Eddy's scams.
  • Whenever he wants to become a superhero to save his friends he dons his captain melonhead costume and leaps into action.
  • He stopped Ed's rampage when the latter was angrily damaging property, and when he tried killing plank.
  • He's nice to Eddy at times despite him abusing and scamming him.
  • While he did beat up the Eds in the end of the Big Picture Show, it wasn't out of heinousness as he only did it to defend the kids.
  • All in all Jonny's really a happy person who helps and rescues his friends whenever they need it the most.
  • While he does become a villain in the end, this was completely justified as he only wanted to protect the kids but he got beaten up, and even though he was his supervillain alter ego, he didn’t cause any harm.
  • In the Ed-ifying Ed-ventures DVD he's shown talking highly about Ed, Edd and Eddy, and he even refers to Eddy as "the best friend money can buy".

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • While he's nowhere near as jerkish as Eddy he does become extremely rude and jerkish whenever Plank isn't with him.
  • He has severe moral agency issues due to him being controlled around by Plank.
  • He became a fallen hero at the end of Ed, Edd n Eddy’s Big Picture Show, though this is understandable due to the way he was treated by his friends, and even as a “villain” he didn’t cause any real harm.
  • He's got some minor lethal moments.
