Jon Snow is one of the main protagonists of the A Song of Ice and Fire book and the television adaption Game of Thrones. He is introduced as Lord Eddard (Ned) Stark's illegitimate son and he has five half-siblings: an older brother Robb Stark, two younger sisters: Sansa and Arya Stark, and two younger brothers Bran and Rickon Stark.
Jon volunteered to fight for the Night's Watch and later became to the Night's Watch commander. after he get coup from his men that murderer him he came back alive by the the red priestess Melisandre and leave the Night's Watch to fight for a kingdom in the north with his family.
He was portrayed by Kit Harington.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- According to him, in the past he avoided sleeping with a whore in order to avoid siring a bastard who would be stigmatized like he was.
- Volunteered to join the Night's Watch, an institution that defends the realm and especially the North.
- He genuinely loved his adoptive Stark family and cared about them, even though he grow up as a bastard.
- Pleaded Ned Stark to keep direwolf puppies and even adopted one white direwolf.
- Paid the blacksmith to make a sword for his adoptive sister Arya Stark.
- Protected Sam from bullies like Rast.
- Defended Jeor Mormont from two wights by burning them.
- Spied on Craster when he sacrificed his son to White Walkers and warned Jeor Mormont about him.
- Refuses to kill Ygritte in their first encounter, only taking her in for questioning.
- Although he did kill Qhorin Halfhand, it was at his request to allow him to infiltrate the wildlings.
- When he infiltrated the wildlings he stayed loyal to the Night's Watch and refused to kill a northman.
- Nurtured Olly, a boy whose parents were killed in a wildling raid as much as he could and made him his steward. Even after he had Olly hanged for his part in the Mutiny at Castle Black, he had mixed feelings towards him.
- Volunteered to fight Karl Tanner and killed him, saving Craster's daughters from him in the process. He also did this to prevent the wildling army from interrogating the mutineers about Castle Black's army.
- Tried to comfort Ygritte before her death, even though she tried to shoot him with an arrow shortly before. He later made a funeral pyre.
- During the Battle of Castle Black he risked his life to negotiate with Mance Rayder.
- He killed Mance Rayder with an arrow and disobeyed the orders of Stannis in order to save Mans from a painful death.
- Refused to broke his oath to the Watch and join to Stannis's army to fight in the North (however he did this later).
- Despite his well-known rivalry with Ser Alliser, he leaves him as Chief Ranger after being elected Lord Commander.
- He evacuated and saved the thousands of wildlings from White Walkers in the Hardhome. he also freeding Tormund from him chains for this.
- It is even more admirable as he had reservations about it until Master Aemon reassured him and knew how the Night's Watch would react to it. In fact he paid for this act with his life, although he was resurrected later.
- Promised to keep Sansa from Ramsay and prevent him from taking her.
- He defeated the Bolton army, risked his own life and helped Stark army reclaim Winterfell from Ramsay Bolton and his cruel men.
- During the fight he also tried to save him brother Rickon and also Wun Wun from Ramsay, and even risked his life for this but failed.
- Although Melisandre brought him back to life, he still judges her at the request of Davos for sacrificing Princess Shireen and exiled her.
- Proved that Petyr Baelish on he sold Sansa to the Boltons and warned him to stay away from her.
- Refused to punish Alys Karstark and Ned Umber for the treachery of their respective fathers, since they were innocent. Also he forgived the lords who didn't help in the Battle of the Bastards.
- He left Sansa in the charge of Winterfell his absence.
- He sailed south to make an alliance with Daenerys Targaryen and even knelt for her. He also convinced her to help him fight against the wight, which saves lifes of the northmen.
- He spared Theon Greyjoy's life to repay him for saving Sansa and ultimately forgave him for his crimes, encouraging him to rescue his sister Yara from their uncle Euron.
- Led a small force to capture a white walker and risked his life, even though he was the King in the North.
- Offered Longclaw to Jorah Mormont since the sword used to belong to his father.
- Stayed loyal to Daenerys in her war and tried to ceasefire with Cersei.
- After confessing to him that he is in the line of succession (according to House Targaryen), he still remains a supporter of Daenerys even when Varys tried to encourage him to betray her. He does this both out of humility and to not cause chaos or hurt Daenerys.
- He fought in the Battle of Winterfell, risked his own life and did everything he could to stop the Long Night and save Westeros and the entire world from Night King and White Walkers.
- He comforted Daenerys after Jorah's death.
- He gave his direwolf, Ghost to Tormund, as he went to south.
- During the battle of King's Landing, he prevented several soldiers from harming the Lannister soldiers who raised their hands and also killed one of his soldiers who tried to rape a girl and then told her to take cover.
- When Daenerys became unstable he started to have second thoughts about his loyalty for her. He also tried to stop Grey Worm from executing Lannister soldiers and visited Tyrion Lannister after he was arrested.
- While he killed Daenerys and committed regidice, it was necessary after she was about to become the Queen of the Ashes, possibly also threatening his family. In any case he didn't want to do it, cried afterwards wondering if he did the right thing and also accepted his punishment for it with dignity.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He was cruel, arrogant and wrathful in a few instances and sometimes very lethal: he had no problem with strangling Peter Baelish to death, killed Bolton soldiers in pure rage before beating Ramsay to a pulp, was willing to kill Theon (even after he was redeemed) and almost murdered Alliser Thorne because he mocked Ned's arrest (the last seen as a disrespect for his duty).
- He broke his oath to the Night Watch twice.
