His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- Initially, he was a racer, but ended his career due to an accident, after which he joined the police, where he proved himself one of the best drivers.
- He saved the president of the United States from the Castaldi gang, and also secured the arrest of this gang. He also refused to leave the police, despite an offer from his boss.
- In Havana, he stopped several arms shipments carried out by the criminal Alvaro Vasquez.
- He saved his partner Jones during a shootout at a water tower.
- He arrests dangerous criminals Lenny and Jericho.
- He kills French crime boss Fabien when he tried to kill him.
- He and Vauban saved Dubois.
- He managed to arrest Jericho again, although he was seriously injured in the process.
- Even when Jericho was arrested and was about to be transported to another prison, Tanner still doubted that everything would be so simple, and therefore decided to follow the convoy.
- When Jericho got free and stole a prison van, Tanner tried to stop him, resulting in an accident and fell into a coma. While in a coma, he began to subconsciously investigate Jericho's plan, and also performed several heroic deeds, which, although they did not affect reality, still showed him to be quite admirable:
- He saved chemist Sarah Allen when she was kidnapped by Jericho's men.
- He stopped Jericho from getting platinum and ammonia, so as not to create cyanide.
- When Jericho also learned to inhabit other people's bodies, Tanner refused to kill the people in whose body he was, because innocent people would die from it.
- He saved Jones when Jericho nearly threw him off a cliff.
- He managed to catch up and arrest the assassin Leila, who worked for Jericho, and who helped him escape.
- He finally managed to find out about Jericho's plan, that the ammonia bomb was a bluff in order to distract attention from the release of hostages from prison. Upon learning this, Tanner came out of his coma with difficulty.
- After coming out of a coma and being in a serious condition, he got behind the wheel anyway and rushed to stop Jericho.
- He also warned all the police about Jericho's plans in time, after which they returned to the city in time, and managed to arrest all the escaped prisoners.
- As a result, it was thanks to him that Jericho was arrested again.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- As an undercover cop, he still doesn't hesitate to commit crimes to gain the trust of gangs, including numerous hijackings, arson, and even the murders of their competitors. This makes him an obvious anti-hero.
- He is often wrathful when, for example, he was going to shoot Jericho immediately upon arrest, although he did not resist, but Jones stopped him.
- He is arrogant because he considers himself "the best driver in the police force" and a "legend".
- He also tends to bully and intimidate criminals to get answers from them, which is too rude for a policeman.
- Sometimes he can be insensitive, for example, when he didn't care at all when Jericho blew up his accomplice Krug in the car. Although Krug was a gangster, he still did not deserve such a fate, and Jones sympathized with him, unlike Tanner. Also, it was partly Tanner's fault because he was the one who released him to find out about Jericho.
